I'm talking about USA Boomers & GenX doing nothing to fix their problems. CDN unions are a different discussion, my father in law was a founding member of the CCF, & major union organiser in Sask. My cousin was also a BC labour union organiser. Elders no longer pave the way, they are soft.

Canada has very strong union protection in Canada • Around 30% of the Canadian workforce are unionised • Public Sector: 76.7% • Private Sector: 15.5% But that has nothing to do with the Greatest, and Silent generation organising and executing civil disobedience and protests in the USA.

The difference between then and now is that the Greatest and Silent Generations organized, marched, and fought for civil rights, women’s liberation, peace, and LGBTQ+ equality. Elder Boomers carried the work forward. As they age out, Gen X and younger Boomers have yet to fill that gap

Wife grew up in Delta (she's two years older than us, poor dear,) and they had no public transportation infrastructure. Now Langley is going to be big city very soon, building is insane right now, and SkyTrain is coming. A lot of Vancouverites are moving here, cheaper, now we have good food.
