Interesting that your friend's game is labeled AI assisted on itch and Potato please is not. Either way the main thing they seem to share is the potato peeling mechanic. Potato Please literally has a relaxing tag while your friends game is all about horror. I don't doubt the slop issue is real tho

yes. Lights are placed as blender empties and doors as static door objects. Then an import script replaces them with functioning scenes. Could have done both the same way but I didn't really plan this out from the start. Learning as I go.

Everything in this level, walls, decorations, pipes, vents, lights and amnesia style doors were generated/placed using Blender geo nodes. I only laid down the floor plans. #godot #gamedev #indiedev

Cool thing about Godot is that it has a bunch of convenient APIs for making tools. For example I made a credits generator plugin which assembles all LICENSE .md files into one credits file. And I also added an option to create/edit LICENSE files for any package in your project: #gamedev #indiedev
