3) The damn shipping. This was the only part of why we shuttered doors that actually had to do with our business. USPS especially was extremely reckless with our packages and though I was able to instruct people how to fix the items they got (thankfully) it started becoming a huge problem.

2) I'll keep this part short - I am extremely mentally unwell and now am showing signs of serious physical disabilities. I have been struggling with this for a while, but it went a horrible left turn when I turned 30. I can't guarantee a shop being open 24/7.

1) I was going to reopen because of the possibility of a merger with a few artists so when my accessories didn't sell, I could help some friends that wanted to sell merch on the side. Both sellers ended up backing out for different and valid reasons. (Mostly life and college).

Hey everyone, I have made the final call - we are not continuing Add It Accessories. We will be shutting this account down in a week. We are so thankful for the support and it was not our customer base at all. We're torn up, but we have to. It's for a few reasons, but I'll list them below.

Update - the merger fell through. Our apartment is also in shambles right now, so trying to open up the business again has come to an abrupt halt. We apologize, but we are going to delay the launch to 2027. We keep having things come up and we have to get that sorted first.

There has been a massive update - We are in talks with a friend who is interested in doing a storefront as well. We are currently discussing some niche details, but it would be for the best of us if we do merge our ideas. Add It Accessories will be getting an entire revamp.

Hello everyone, So in some good news, but we are in talks of reopening the shop sooner than we thought. The biggest thing we do have to consider is the shipping costs and figuring out the actual logistics of pricing, but we already have a good idea of where to go from there.

Due to USPS charging a mandatory 8% package fee for EACH package starting in April, we realized we can't afford to run the business anymore. We cannot afford the surcharge for the rapidly rising shipping.

We are absolutely devastated, but we had a really rough launch year. It just isn't the right time. We realized we needed to do what was best for our family. The truth is, we knew we'd lose money starting this front, but with the economy collapsing, we can't risk anymore.

Hello everyone! So we found out today that ko-fi is NOT anti ai today. We deliberately used them because we thought we were supporting a platform that didn't allow AI usage. We are not going to change shops immediately but we are definitely looking into other options.

To explain, a lot of packages were reported statewide where multiple packages were lost, handled poorly, or straight up broken. It was bad enough where it got investigated and the shipping carrier was found at fault.

To break it down quickly, we are planning on updating the shop soon. We lost our beloved cat and needed some time to grieve. Shipping has to go up. We were severely undercharging for the packaging the accessories needed to arrive safe. Finally, commissions are a permanent addition.
