I’ve been working on a script to print playtest cards kinda in this style off of a thermal printer for the past 6 months, and now I’m like…. Cool, the wizards ate my lunch.

A black and white dithered swamp card. Vines hang from trees growing from a shimmering water, a scarily leggy creature is off to the side there too.

A heavily dithered Fog Elemental card. It’s 2 and U, rules text says Flying (This creature can't be blocked except by creatures with flying or reach.) When this creature attacks or blocks, sacrifice it at end of combat. 4 / 4

A foggy face floats through trees.

A Llanowar elves printed on receipt paper

Another heavily dithered card, Mind Rot. Costs 2 and B, it’s a sorcery that has target player discard two cards. The image shows a person’s head kinda exploding, with light pouring upwards from their eyes. Theyre screaming in agony. Probably a bad time.

Some of these alternate art treatments for The Hobbit x MtG are pretty wild #dale

Bard, King of Dale with a photo of Pitbull on it. It’s a neat card, I’ll probably run it in my Transformers deck, with a Mr. Worldwide alter similar to this.

Legendary Creature - Human Noble Archer
Reach, vigilance
If you would draw a card except the first one you draw in each of your draw steps, draw two cards instead.
If one or more tokens would be created under your control, twice that many of those tokens are created instead.

Wish we could, but we can’t keep him.. LA peeps who can care for a malnourished and unfixed orange boy, let’s connect and find this guy a home? Reaching out to adoption groups today, too, open to recs if anyone’s got anyone on the west side.

Just found a filthy kitten walking around outside our apartment. Was running to the garage to prove to a neighbor there was no one sleeping by the cars. Before I could even get down there, this little one ran directly towards me, and followed me home 🥲

Was one of the ~200 people to snag a Goblin Storm deck from @mtgsecretlair.com! Of course, their ongoing quality control issues mean it was missing the Sol Ring (goblins in a hot tub!) and it’ll take months for the replacement to arrive. Made due in the meantime with a homemade proxy.

A shiny playing card has a gold foil circle containing a rainbow. Layered over the circle is ransom note style text on it, and a cut out illustration of Huntrix from K-Pop Demon Hunters. SOL RING (1) Tap for 2 colorless mana

I had three “uncomfortable conversation about unclear deliverables” meetings right off the bat today, which brought on a lot of really difficult stress over the weekend. Slept maybe 10 hours since Friday. Surprise, one was a misunderstanding, one provided clarity, and one was as simple as:
