The maddening thing is that the BBC can, uniquely, offer the opposite of AI algorithmic recommendation. We can get that anywhere. It’s not what people want. What’s missing is expert, human, curation. IMO, the issue is not the monetary contribution, it's that an awful lot of people conflate fun activities that you do in your spare time as also being the same thing in terms of work, as in - not *real* work Games are enjoyable activities you do on the evenings and weekends with your mates

Just asked someone at B&Q if they had any spray undercoat, and he replied - without turning to look at me - "It's obviously only *normal* undercoat" & walked off. Went home thinking I must have imagined using it before, but no, I've just checked, and there it is. Perfectly normal. Spray undercoat.

Just bought a shirt from a company called Merelume. When the confirmation flashed it up it was £25 instead of £20. They'd added 'insurance' to my order without me seeing it - I don't think it was shown until afterwards - and it was locked. They're saying "no refunds" because "it was selected".
