Back to working on the Drawing Red audiobook now the heatwaves have ended. It's my main focus at this point until it's done. #WritingCommunity #Author #AudioBook

Just solved a plot hole that was hanging over me for over a year. Time + revisions = story magic! With that I've made progress on all three of my writing projects this week. #writingcommunity #amwriting

Today I got reacquainted with the Drawing Red audiobook and I recorded some retakes. I'm pleased my writing projects are on the move again, but I'm deciding my work load day by day to not burn out. #WritingCommunity #spoonie

I wrote 576 words today. My first writing in months! I picked up a first draft I've been working on. Slowly getting out of burnout. Aiming for 500 words a day. #WritingCommunity #AmWriting #Spoonie

The change that made the biggest impact on my burnout was swapping from keeping a timetable to keeping a record of what I was doing. A simple thing, but it took over 6 weeks for me to mentally make the change. Now instead of lack I'm starting to see progress. #spoonie #selfcare #pots

In today's live stream I worked out how to turn my voice robotic using effects in Davinci Resolve for a character in my audiobook. Chapter 8 is on track to be finished tomorrow and chapter 9 is ready for recording. #WritingCommunity #WritersLife

Today I researched if an ai narrated audiobook could be copyrighted. Video about the topic coming on 1st April. Sadly it's not an April Fools joke. #WritingCommunity #WritersLife

I've been working on a character voice for a robot for Drawing Red's audiobook. Unfortunately I wrote the character as 'high-pitched' before discovering Glados. #WritersLife #Audiobook

Chap 7/25 of the Drawing Red audiobook has been recorded. Now I've got a working PC I've been able to rerecord my chapters to higher standard and at a faster speed. #WritingCommunity

Check in: Monday: draft 1 chp 9 of paranormal romantic comedy. Yesterday: edited chp 6 of Drawing Red's audiobook. Today: Drawing Red's sequel revisions. Thankfully the comedy is giving a much needed lift to Drawing Red's sequel via osmosis. #WritingCommunity #AmWriting

I did some revisions for Drawing Red's sequel then wrote 403 words of a first draft. Not bad for 1 hour of work. #WritingCommunity #AmWriting

I read a statistic yesterday that only 5% of authors work full-time as authors. There's a lot to unpack there. My debut was a journey of ambition, reality checks & challenges. I can't join that 5%, but I've learned to settle for writing for writing's sake. #WritingCommunity #AmWriting
