A Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection box. The luck was abysmal as usual, but the box makes me very happy regardless

Honestly in disbelief at how well Indiana Jones runs on the Switch 2

Indiana Jones looks at a bandit who has been impaled by a trap

With Sekiro, I'll have days where I accomplish absolutely nothing at all and then I'll have days where I beat 3 mini-bosses and a main game boss in under an hour. This game sucks, I love it

Good morning, Cambridge was lovely

A view from the stream at Cambridge Botanical Garden. Trees cover either side and the water is directly reflecting the plants. The sky is blue with an occasional cloud, but it is mostly green in land apart from the river which is a deep blue.

#13: THE LEGEND OF ZELDA - LINK'S AWAKENING Continuing my Switch backlog kick, Link's Awakening was one of those games I'd hoped to have finished before Tears of the Kingdom dropped. I know Twin Peaks had an influence on this game, but man, you can really tell how similar the dream-like quality is.

#12: SUPER MARIO RPG A prime example of how an RPG's systems don't need to be stupidly complicated. It's one of those retro games you say "Yeah, I'll get around to it eventually" but you realise more important things eat up your time. Very glad I've played this now

Battle screen. You control Mario, Peach, and Bowser. You are fighting Chained Kong and some orange lizards inside Bowser's castle.

The team (Mario, Mallow, Peach, Geno, and Bowser) are outside the castle in the Mushroom Kingdom.

The team celebrating after getting a star.

#11: STILL WAKES THE DEEP - SIREN'S REST Technically a DLC, but I enjoyed it enough to list here. As bleak as the main game, which is to say that it's fantastic

My saves from the Deltarune demo didn't carry over to the main release, so I've been going back and replaying the older chapters to get a complete save again. It took me so many attempts to beat Jevil when Chapter 1 first came out, but somehow managed to beat it on my first try here

#10: DOOM: THE DARK AGES This game has more in common with DOOM 2016, which took me by surprise truthfully. Still, it's a DOOM game so the combat is very fun.

Campaign save menu. First slot says "Campaign completed!" on the Ultra-Violence difficulty.

This game is beautiful

A screenshot of DOOM: The Dark Ages from the Doom Slayer in a first-person perspective. The sky is orange like it would be during a sunset. There is a castle visible in the distance. You are standing in the ruined courtyard of the castle, there are little fires and lots of debris everywhere. A castle tower is fallen on the left-hand side of the courtyard. There is a big statue with no head in the center. There are doors to the left and the right leading to the inside of the castle.

Adam Tait @adamtait.net · 13/05/2025

This is so goddamn cool

A statue of the Doom Slayer from the DOOM: The Dark Ages collectors edition. There is a dark backdrop showing big titan demons and the statue itself shows the Doom Slayer atop a pile of corpses with one foot on a rock. He has a mace in his right hand, a saw shield in his left hand, a dark furred cape and is staring into the distance.
