Vege planter prepped for summer: 10 pea seedlings, 4 heritage tomato seedlings, corn and beetroot sown in front. Space for up to 6 pumpkins to trail over the front when germinated, and melons are sown directly into compost around to the side out of shot 🌱 #gardening #gardensky

A cat, the most elegant of creatures, enjoying some crisp winter morning sun.

A shorthair cameo tortie slouching in the sun on a wooden step like an elderly uncle. She has her hind legs splayed so her saggy, but enjoyably soft, belly can absorb as much warmth as possible. She does not really display the grace and elegance one might expect of a cat. Mind you, she has the hardware of a tortoiseshell but seems to run on ginger software.

Had vanilla mascapone icing left after the school bake-sale, so I made the chocolate cake from @mbrobergmoffitt.bsky.socialmbrobergmoffitt.bsky.social Color Taste Texture to help use it up! Some neighbours came to help us with eating it and loved it too.

Half a luscious moist chocolate cake with creamy white icing. It was so tempting that I forgot to take a photo until after it was already being eaten.

I very rarely remember my dreams. Last night I dreamed of making bread, which I have not done for years. So this morning I made focaccia.

A cut loaf of focaccia bread on a wooden tray, a japanese bread knife beside it. The bread is topped with rosemary and rock salt and has a finer crumb than usual, as I kneaded it a bit before letting it rise in the pan.
