I'm running macos 27 but I don't have beta updates enabled in the system settings so that might be why I have the regular version. Your link also gets me the regular version developer.apple.com/sf-symbols/#...

SF Symbols is a library of thousands of symbols designed to integrate seamlessly with San Francisco, the system font for Apple platforms.

interesting! it does work as expected in the non-beta version! you get html markup

positively surprised about the amount of concrete action the EU has taken; not their usual M.O... i'm interested in hearing more about the positive effects for citizens. i fear it's mostly about defence contracts to diversify Canada's supply chain.

and in the not-so-distant future your voice assistant might go rogue and exploit bluetooth vulnerabilities to connect any speaker in the area...

000

adam @adams.computer · 12/09/2026

more established software companies too should ship at least faster if not at a higher quality. but very few do, if any at all. my point being that the change should be very obvious. it's been too long since the tools are apparently capable enough to code to not see...something.

000

adam @adams.computer · 03/09/2026

why aren't we seeing an explosion of high quality software? if the most established use case of AI is coding we ought to see some change. and there is an increase of small tools, definitely in their feature set but it comes with definite decrease in quality

000

adam @adams.computer · 29/08/2026

…but boy is it incredibly boring. should probably take it as a sign that it’ll be easy

000

adam @adams.computer · 29/08/2026

i so want to put all my beautiful and deep thoughts into obsidian. but all i have is hundreds of half written two-sentence notes in a folder called ‘short thoughts’

000

adam @adams.computer · 14/08/2026

reading a language exam book again after 10+ years really just unearthed some buried anxiety

arguably there’s just more ownership of games on PCs. if Sony were to decide to not continue hosting critical assets for physical disks you would have nowhere to go.

watching Directive 8020 atm and can't move on how silly it is to suggest that magnetic boots in space would simulate gravity. i'm convinced you'd look like an inflatable flailing tubemen.

if you just want emails migadu is a good option. or if you are in the apple ecosystem icloud+ for 1 bucks a month is a pretty good option too.

010

adam @adams.computer · 20/03/2026

minus inflation it’s still cheaper. but yeah the trajectory is the real killer here

This is a really exciting direction. it does however mean that I will have to rewrite my CMS in the second year in row...

feel like i'm missing something with that cloudflare next.js clone. it's proving three things: AI can regurgitate things that already exist, it takes an experienced engineer to guide it, it costs a lot. what am I missing?
