Beat my first dungeon in Mina the Hollower. This game is like if 2D zelda was made with modern design philosophy while also not being afraid to be genuinely difficult, it kinda rules

Just randomly a barn swallow sitting on the handicap parking sign outside my apartment building. Poor girl’s hot, see how her beak is hanging open? Birds can’t sweat so they’re essentially doing the same thing dogs do when they pant for temperature regulation

For reference, here's how you would play this level if you were just going with the flow and not looking for any skips

“How the hell do you not know The Odyssey” “Uhm, not everyone is american lmao.” “WHAT DO YOU MEANNNNN IT’S A FUCKING 3,000 YEAR OLD EPIC FROM ANCIENT GREECE WHICH IS A PART OF THE CURRICULUM OF COUNTLESS LITERATURE CLASSES”

Ive been playing mainly absa lately because orcane keeps getting nerfed every patch and it keeps throwing me off, so the slow fall speed doesnt help once im out of resources lol. Guess i just need to be more careful about using cloud and up B

it’s funny i also had a realization that i subconsciously avoid using the word “man” to describe myself in favor of “guy” for this exact reason lol

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

That’s awesome I love birds. I’d like to have a bird some day but obviously that will have to wait until i’m financially stable and have the time and dedication to make sure i can take care of it

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

Not too long ago someone described me as slightly androgynous and i realized i don’t dislike that, just because i have this association in my head of stereotypical masculine aesthetics with manosphere type stuff yk

110 0

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

Fair enough. I’m just a guy, but I don’t generally strive to be more masculine. I have long curly hair, i have a pierced ear (though that’s less gendered these days), i wear things like turtlenecks or cardigans or scarves sometimes. Yk. I’m a guy but i’m not a MANLY MAN or whatever

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

yea i think dysphoria is generally more directly related to gender

110 0

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

On a related note, if i could flip a switch and stop my facial hair from growing i would do it in a heartbeat. The only reason i dont go clean shaven is that my adhd ass cannot keep up shaving every single day, and if you just go a couple days without shaving it looks awful

010 0

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

I don’t even want to be like ripped or anything just relatively slim. I’m already more gender nonconforming than your average cishet guy. I know logically my body is probably pretty average but it’s hard to see myself that way, and my adhd ass struggles w the discipline needed to lose weight

110 0

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

lowkey the fact that both of my brothers have the body type where they have to actively try to gain weight did so much damage to my self image

110 0

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 28/05/2026

everyone should be able to get access to their character editor menu and be able to tweak a couple settings

Why do they keep nerfing orcane. They just keep nerfing him. The new side special is nice but the rest of him is starting to feel so rough. I love the character so much but unless im just missing something he just feels bad sometimes

adam riptide @adamriptide.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

google search says it’s not explicitly stated but heavily implied theyre in love so i’ll concede that point you right
