I went mad at this.. Generally not offside. Once the defender has deliberately played/controlled the ball, the attacker's previous offside position is effectively reset. However, if the defender's contact was just a deflection, block, ricochet or save, the original offside can still apply.

Bijol is our best CB at winning that first contact by a country mile, and we definitely miss him on set pieces. Farke will rightly point to the clean sheet, but Elvedi was caught out a few times. Agree on the width too, Bogle could definitely have stayed higher and wider much more yesterday.

Palace regularly dropped into a mid-block yesterday and Leeds really struggled to break it down. It one of reasons Wilson was bought, we don't have any other creative players. Then also Bijol and Rodon big misses on attacking set pieces. #lufc

Just thinking ahead here… Champions League qualification and a decent run and you could quite easily be talking £60m–£100m+ in additional revenue. So really, the financially responsible thing to do is qualify for the Champions League if any euro comp. No pressure. 😂 #LUFC
