Unironically, Kenny Rogers recorded the Prince song "You're My Love" at a time when Dolly was definitely talking to Prince about song ideas. princevault.com/index.php?ti...

It's likely because Trump had his firearm license revoked when he was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records, a felony offense. (www.bbc.com/news/article...)

That was just an excellent episode. I love this podcast but this one especially was super informative (and spicy.) Thanks for the hard work you continue to do. 💪🍾 #hitmeintheheadwithabat

That is correct. That Jeff B. Company representing the Guaraldi estate.

Which, if it is *not* covered by BMI, means Colbert was prettttty specific about choosing that song! 😂

Guaraldi amd this music rights company are both sourced by the BMI performing rights org. But yes the rights company is super litigious (article: impressionsofvince.blogspot.com/2021/05/expl...)

The thing is: CBS as a network is a broadcaster. Broadcasters play music all the time because they have what are called "blanket licenses." The composer gets paid for that performance. The lawsuit makes no sense. The Vince Guaraldi estate would definitely already get paid from this use of the music.

Literally every single politician - in every English speaking country - begins their interview answers with "Look" as a diversionary tactic. You just asked a question about "x", I will instead use my "y" answer. It's been true since the 1990s.

I am not an expert but, with stadium audio: there are delays. It's probably timing related. You want the live audio music to match what the skaters are dancing to, so it remains in time. If they played the raw feed it might be a few microseconds behind the skating / dancing. This is my guess.

Same for the constant use of the word "treason". Under the US constitution, the country needs to be in a "declared war" against another nation for "treason" to be a thing. That is not (currently) now.

My big takeaway from this is: they fired a bunch of FAA people, some of whom probably know "the ways" to maintain their aging infrastructure. Stuff like restarting some device that might be the reason that the radar goes out. Just" a thing they know about. Preventative. Now that person is gone.
