I got the free Vermintide 2 offer on Steam recently and apparently it started up after completing the install on my steam deck, which I thought was in sleep mode this whole time. 1500+ hours on record, 0/26 achievements...

It's a steam page for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 - the game shows as not being installed, but the play time is listed as 1544.9 hours.

So the Age of Sigmar Saurus Warriors are a dead ringer for classic Warhammer temple guards and that's pretty great

I love late night tv with Babs. She likes to watch most when there are bright colours flying around the screen a lot. She could probably tell you where to find every moon in Mario Odyssey if she knew any languages, she was so locked into that one.

I'm incredibly happy with these results. Uhu glue is kind of amazing for effects but should never be used as an adhesive.

A Ghorgon, a giant, mutant Minotaur, covered in muck, mucus, and blood.

A closer look at the Ghorgon, you can see dried mucus and blood in the various face-holes.

From the other stuff, less eye goop, but a much better view of the stringing, bloody phlegm and spit from the mouth.

Working on some woodland terrain. What a difference colour makes.

A bare woodland diorama sits on a lazy Susan, it's composed of a circle of corrugated cardboard covered in white glue and burlap, simulating undergrowth.

A close up of the "roots" of an up ended tree, the frayed burlap has been treated with glue and ink to help give the appearance of wet, soily roots fresh from the earth.

It's getting there, one day left!

I realized I need a baggage train for an event, but the Beastmen army mostly just raid for supplies wherever they find themselves, so I made a somewhat literal meat wagon and have been Chaos-ing up a Conquest Minotaur model for it. About half done.

An early, primed and dry-brushed kitbash of a Minotaur covered in scars and bandages dragging a ricketty wheelbarrow covered in sacks with humanoid limbs and the heads of several wood elves sticking out.

The same model from the back; heavy scarring is visible on the shoulders and the disgusting cart is in full view.

The same model again, with more colour now: the face is covered in bandages long soaked and dried with blood, seemingly from where the Minotaur's eyes ought to be.

I am so close to done this Ghorgon and I'm really happy with it.

A mostly painted Ghorgon model. It has a lot of grime and muck all over it and has a lot of diseased mucus flowing from the eyes and nose.

I'm channeling all of my Halloween decorating energy into this batch of lil guys...

It's the same model pictured in the quoted skeet, but the face is now darker, with green and yellow slime coming from the creature's nose and eyes.

I'm really enjoying this paintjob and while it's still far from finished, I think the base coat is looking okay.

A now fully constructed and further painted Miao Ying the Storm Dragon model sits on a coffee table. The bases have been painted the colour of dried mud, the two feature a predominantly purple motif and white hair with Grey undertones.

So Miao Ying has a lot of surface area to cover and I think I'm going to spend more than a week painting her out of necessity. So many scales.
