Russell Hillman is already a spooky name, if you think about it. @allhellismrsun.bsky.social · 29/08/2025

The cover for Dead Men Tell Tales, full colour art and letters by @sergiocalvet.bsky.social I really do count myself lucky to know Sergio, he's been there for me since I started writing comics. Check out the Kickstarter campaign, please: www.kickstarter.com/projects/169...

Scripted by me and featuring art from a dozen shockingly good creators, Dead Men Tell Tales is currently funding on Kickstarter. 150-page graphic novel, featuring 10 tales of terror set in the scary seventies. £15 (plus postage) physical, £10 digital. Take a look, see what you think.

Always late to post on here, but: Happy 70th Birthday, Akira Toriyama! #AkiraToriyama #DragonBall #DragonBallDaima

A recreation of the classic Kanzenban Volume covers of Dragonball altered to be "Dragonball Daima". The front cover features the new design of Super Saiyan 4 Goku, with a small greyscale image of Gomah behind him with a Kamehameha shaped hole in his chest. The Volume No. has been adjusted to #70 in honour of Akira Toriyama's birthday, and the back cover features a greyscale image of Kid Goku in his classic pose from the first ever panel of Dragonball.

Happy #DragonBall40th! Here's a collab I worked on with my brother @adambalsonart.bsky.social - layout and Piccolo by him, Goku and colours by me. Shout out to @reks.bsky.social for the Daima filter, and @gusceps.bsky.social for the ToriGus brush! Always happy to celebrate the late great Toriyama.

I might actually prefer the presentation of this as a PNG, the only issue is you kinda need a dark background for the signatures to be visible

Adult Goku in his new Daima dōgi stood to the left of the mini version of himself wearing the Power Pole. A speech bubble says "I'm NOT grown up!? Wow!" in reference to the original cover this is based on, where he is stood next to a child version of himself saying "I'm all grown up!? Wow!" instead.

Peter Parker. A flawed guy, who just can't help but do his best.

An isolated panel drawn by John Romita Jr., featuring Peter Parker ripping off his clothes to reveal his Spider-Man costume. Text boxes read: "You're. Spider-Man. Act like it."

A warm-up of the big blue boyscout. The idea was to do a subtle redesign where anything red in his design is from Earth, and anything blue is from Krypton and more durable material.

A rough sketch of Superman with his hands on his hips, smiling. A second sketch of Superman has his eyes glowing red, and his suit battle-worn. His blue bodysuit is intact but dirtied, while his red cape and trunks are torn.

Goku for Dragonball Daima Day! I used the cover of Chapter 280 as an inspiration and tried to mimic the colouring style of the Kanzenban volumes.

Adult Goku in his new Daima dōgi stood next to the mini version of himself wearing the Power Pole. A speech bubble says "I'm NOT grown up!? Wow!" in reference to the original cover this is based on, where he is stood next to a child version of himself saying "I'm all grown up!? Wow!" instead.

Akira Toriyama's original drawing for the cover of Dragonball: Chapter 280. where adult Goku is stood next to the younger, child version of himself saying "I'm all grown up!? Wow!"

Ellie for Outbreak Day 26/09/2023, during THAT cutscene.

A worm eye view of Ellie from The Last of Us: Part II bathed in red light and coloured in dark red tones as she swings a bloodied iron pipe behind her head. Flecks of dark blood and white tears bring attention to her eyes, with her irises replaced with the white Press Square prompt from the games.

Before he was revealed to be a Joker from another Earth, I was SURE that the Joker from "Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League" was going to be Bazil Karlo *thinking* he was Joker after the events of Arkham City. Still a fun idea!

First Panel: The Joker lifting his foot out of a pile of mud, asking "What did I just step in... ?"
Second Panel: The Joker laughs, slapping his hand to his face saying "Oh! Right! Ha-ha!"
Third Panel: His hand pushes through his distorting head, revealed to be made of clay as he laughs, "Me-eeheeheehee!"
Fourth Panel: Joker continues to laugh as his face and arms morph into Clayface.

Feels fitting to have my first post on Bluesky be Marvel's First Family in their very blue outfits.

The Fantastic Four Members -Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm & Ben Grimm, respectively- lined up in redesigns of their classic outfits based on the look of F1 racing suits.
