Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 26/01/2026Trying hard to put TFTQ behind me but every so often Frazer posts something that causes concern. Reading between the lines, John, it may be he's using DTT to source creatives unaware of his shamefulness. Please consider publishing a retrospective that serves as a warning to those not in the know. 120
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 17/10/2025Almost certainly Keith Watson. According to his obituary in The Independent, he produced Dan Dare artwork for three Mobil posters. www.independent.co.uk/news/people/...independent.co.ukObituary: Keith WatsonJohn Keith Watson, artist: born Ormesby, Middlesbrough 1 February 1935; married 1961 Beverley Greig (one son, one daughter); died Cheam, Surrey 9 April 1994. 140
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 17/10/2025I recently discovered the Dan Dare TV adverts for Mobil 1. I've no recollection of the campaign, which is surprising considering I lived a short distance from a Mobil service station at the time. For anyone interested, here's the ads: youtu.be/Ejgs274GFQAyoutu.beDan Dare pilot of the futureYouTube video by MinistryOfTheFuture 141
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 13/08/2025Next time you're in the Black Country, Gareth, I'd be happy to treat you to a Desperate Dan Cow Pie at the Mad O'Rourke's Pie Factory in Tipton and a pint of Lump Hammer or two. Alas, my favourite Nod story doesn't involve fighting. I take it you know of his experience with a glass coffee table? 200
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025Raymond Leslie Morris was his name! He was responsible for the Cannock Chase Murders aka The A34 Murders in the 1960s. The Caldmore/Karma mix-up occured 19 August 1967. Be advised, the details involve children and make unpleasant reading. www.crimeandinvestigation.co.uk/crime-files/... 020
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025@garethjonestv.bsky.social is the biggest Slade fan I know of. I'm sure he could answer this and tell you so much more besides. 100
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025His name escapes me but there was once a notorious serial killer who, evading police capture for years, started targeting victims in the Caldmore area and would call the police to taunt them. Because he wasn't local, he pronounced the area as it reads. This error actually aided in his capture. 120
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025Churchfields was demolished a few years ago, wasn't it? I had family that lived opposite Menzies High School (now Phoenix Collegiate) and remember the John Cleese film Clockwise being filmed there. 120
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025Degville and Rob Halford of Judas Priest also grew up on the Beechdale Estate. 110
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025Noddy grew up on the Beechdale Estate in Bloxwich, Walsall. Before this, he lived in Caldmore, Walsall. Locals pronounce Caldmore as "Karma". Boy George once lived in Walsall, sharing a flat with Martin Degville of Sigue Sigue Sputnik. The Karma in Karma Chameleon is actually reference to Caldmore. 230
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 12/08/2025Familiar with the area he grew up in, I'd say so, yeah. 120
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 14/02/2025Billy the Brave has only gone and won Best Charity Comic at the ComicScene Awards 2025! Mind-blowing considering it was originally intended as a personal gift to cheer up a poorly little boy. 🤯 Thank you so much to everyone who voted to get it nominated then again for it to win. 🫡 2116
Reposted by Adam Bagley ArtAdam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 29/11/2024Folks in and around #Dundee! I'm after a print copy of local #newspaper The Courier from 4 October. If you or anyone you know can help me get my mitts on one (or two or three, even), please get in touch. It'll need posting to the West Midlands, Central England, but I'll see you alright. 102
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 29/11/2024Nice. Worth the wait. In the late 80s I had WWF wrestling magazines sent to me from America. Now THAT felt like an eternity! Regarding the paper, I've put a Wanted ad on Gumtree and set the location as Dundee. Fingers crossed. IIRC, didn't you have a copy of The Big Issue with Bash Street cover? 100
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 29/11/2024Might as well tag @thecourier.co.uk in case someone there spots a copy in the canteen or something. 120
Adam Bagley Art @adambagley.art · 29/11/2024Yeah, I emailed them. Got a reply today saying they don't have any copies left in stock. 😟 100
