We need civic enforcement of this. The more people stand up to the public menace the better.

99% of the podcasts are repacked radio programming with some extended editions. BBC Radio should reduce broadcast hours and boost podcast output, IMO. Also some R4 content is repeated same day. #r4today

China is simply doing free trade that the US and UK and EU pretend to love so much. China is trying to preserve the rules based order because it's good for free trade. US and EU have become more and more protectionist.

Someone probably pointed out that siding with Israeli regime just before US mid-terms is not a good look.

Home prices have been falling all year, including in London. My sibling is in the process of buying in East London and has manage to get 40k knocked off the asking price. Nice to see 'ONO' making a return. #r4today

Sarah Pochin MP (Reform UK) reveals she thinks Reform UK, her party, is a misogynist boys club, but she won't call it out because, well, it's her party. But she's totally comfortable saying on record that she thought "there were too many brown faces" on British TV.

In a part of London where I was able to buy a house. That same house would be out of reach for a 26 year old today (unless they are working in a job with a six figure salary).

There are two kinds of work, mostly manual and mostly cognitive. First industrial revolution brought mechanization to manual work, and displaced factory floor jobs. It did not create more factory floor jobs. Fifth industrial revolution will do the same for cognitive work. Then what? #bbcBH

Is Queen Camilla trying to gaslight America. AA Milne 𝒈𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒅 the toy bear to America. America did not plunder or loot the toy bear as part of imperial harvesting of treasures from foreign shores. Camilla should think about things UK has in its museums that other countries would like to have back.

If it's dedicated direct link just for transfers, would be quick anyway using conventional low cost rail technology. A 20-30 minute transfer ride between Heathrow and Gatwick, would be acceptable to travellers.

If Heathrow expansion was just about cargo capacity, then yeah, it would make sense to talk about the other airports in the UK. But it isn't just about cargo, its about Heathrow being a massive passenger transfer hub. #bbcAQ

We've got to build new homes somewhere, either scale out on land or up into the air. Unfortunately in the UK we don't have a volcano that can create more land.

There is no reason why we can't build aesthetically pleasing affordable high rise homes. We need to remove some of the height restrictions and allow more large towns to grow up into cities. #bbcPM

Also, Europe CAN match US defence systems, it's not a technical challenge. Europe just didn't need to compete with US because we thought the US was an ally. Hopefully now Europe will stop being so naïve, and invest in local military industrial complex. #bbcPM
