Here's nine anime that made me in no particular order. I'm an '80s kid who didn't grow up with much access outside of US TV. Newsgroup pirating gave more access and led me to Nadescio which is now the only series I own. Then came streaming which offered a lot of isekai trash not listed here. ;)

In no particular order: Martian Successor Nadesico, Macross, Dragon Ball Z, Kyousougiga, My Love Story!, Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, Mob Psycho 100, Vampire Hunter D, Go Lion

Andre La Barre @acwraith.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I admit it. I caved went on TwiX just so I could crash out atting YouTube for making me part of their glitchy interface tests that removed my subscriptions tab in the app. That's not a nice discovery when trapped in a chair for health procedures. I'm still mad.

Due to to sim sickness and the jank in 3rd person, I don't play Skyrim. However, my hot take is the Matt Berry-voiced Ikea shelf should be full of Garth Marenghi books.

I wonder how much of the TV privacy concerns could have been avoided if the recording tech was instead in remote controls one could remove the batteries from.

Andre La Barre @acwraith.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Gamers Nexus is seeking funding. "This long-form series of special reports, investigations, and shorter format feature updates goes deep with the privacy violations and overreach of modern consumer electronics, including Smart TVs and other devices."

Me: I'm sim sick. Steam: Here's umpteen game suggestions with the FPS tag you EXPLICITLY TOLD US TO IGNORE because you dared play CroTeam games that respect you with third person modes.

DE:IW is one of the last first person games I played before swearing them off due to sim sickness. Rewarding the player for using the Hellfire Boltcaster in Tarsus Cairo with screaming dialogue and narrative disapproval required a sick sense of humor that I can't help but appreciate.

Andre La Barre @acwraith.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Skyrim's 3rd person is too janky to be playable for my sim sick body requiring it. GTAIV made me move to Saints Row. Shadow of the Colossus' best moment is the glitch where you can permanently kill the horse. Any roguelite focused on upgrades instead of variety should be a short incremental game.

Gamers Nexus offers rewriteable USB sticks which solve the physical media issue and have even more file space. Then they add extra write-once media? We need better laws and affordable storage memory rather than nostalgia. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_9C...
