I’m so pleased to be part of the @archenemyarts.bsky.social brand new show ‘WAIT FOR THE MOON III’ featuring works inspired by classic Grimm’s fairy tales! My piece is inspired by 'The Rooster Beam' 🍀🍀🐓🍀🍀 #grimmsfairytales #waitforthemoon #rooster #painting #art #bsnm #mixedmedia

Had a wee play with Golden's fluorescent acrylic through my airbrush. It's incredibly bright 💡 I chucked this in into my shop....50% of the proceeds go to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund 🍉 #sacredheart #fluorescentpaint #art #painting #bsnm #mixedmedia

Every time I get to my studio I start by drawing a bug and a mask. The wall is getting really covered now 🪲🪖

A new big one: "Dead Reckoning", for Memento Mori at @brassworksgallery in Portland, opening this weekend Feb the 8th! Curated by Chris Breshears. I put some of the meaning (including the banner translation) into the alt text. #mementomori #painting #mixedmedia

A skeleton in a blue robe holds a heart. Its body has mechanical tubes on the inside. A banner wraps around the figure.

The banner across the figure reads “Omnes duae manent noctes” (Two nights await us all, in Latin) – this is a reference to Horace’s “Omnes una manet nox” (One night awaits us all), about the inevitability of death.

Our physical bodies may die, but we have all left digital traces of ourselves in the form of social media profiles, forum posts, blogs, websites. When these platforms are abandoned, websites are deleted, servers are shut down and wiped, this is a kind of second death – the second night that awaits us 💀💀
