5/to see him sit with his earth father, looking at him with deepest admiration and care; to see him express love - it all felt so…human. And it made being human feel like a good thing. So I will do my best to remain hopeful. I hope you will, too. Look up.

4/Yes, it’s just a fantastical movie about an alien with incredible power. But to see this nearly unstoppable hero so vulnerable - literally bleeding on the ground - only to be saved by his loyal dog;(continued)

3/The emotion the first viewing of the trailer left me with was more than expected. Yes, the actors seem very well cast, there are iconic images galore, with a multitude of comic book characters included. What set this trailer apart for me was how it left me feeling. Hopeful. Unabashedly hopeful.

2/ @jamesgunn.bsky.social ‘s Superman film has been on my mind since it was announced. I have a deep love of the character. I also admire Mr. Gunn’s work in the genre. It was hard to picture how his take on the big blue Boy Scout might turn out.

1/As a lifelong comic book fan, I get excited over new trailers for superhero movies and shows being released. These days, though, I’ve learned to temper my expectations overall. This week was a different story.

Krypto really did take us home: With over 250 million views & a million social posts, #Superman is officially the most viewed & most talked about trailer in the history of both DC and Warner Bros. This is because of all of you: thank you!

@jamesgunn.bsky.social thank you for this. Krypto alone made me cry hopeful tears, to say nothing of the great shots, massive comic lore, and so much more. I’ll be at the first possible screening/showing, vibrating with joyful anticipation!

I hadn’t felt hopeful in a long time. I forgot what I was feeling while watching this. But Krypto taking him back to the Fortress of Solitude? Ugh, there’s a lot of dust in my eyeballs.

Truly!!! Ugh I hate to get my hopes up, but this might just meet my ridiculous expectations.

That snowy planet is obviously Earth. Krypto is taking him to the Fortress of Solitude.

Cannot wait. Been a comic book reader and Superman fan from a very young age. The short preview dropped today has me hyped! Thank you so much for pouring your passion and energy into this @jamesgunn.bsky.social

Who else is super hyped for the #superman trailer drop tomorrow? Today’s tease is 🔥. The score using Williams, 78 font, Planet globe and office, but my takeaway was the reveal of a major character: Metropolis herself. Bright and bold, like art deco evolved @jamesgunn.bsky.social already so grateful.

Creature Commandos was extra special this week. I won’t spoil, but @jamesgunn.bsky.social and co deliver a special tribute to some important DC lore, as well as a wonderfully touching and entertaining story. Grateful for this excellent series.

#creaturecommandos is must-watch content. It’s certainly a promising start to the DCU. The Bride and Rick Flag, Sr. have very compelling stories so far. Can’t wait for the next drop! Thank you, @jamesgunn.bsky.social and cast and crew for this fun and entertaining ride!

#skeletoncrew - WOW, so fun! It definitely captured that Spielberg-esque 80’s kid adventure vibe in the first 2 episodes, and paid homage to a lot of specific stuff! I won’t spoil it here, but I think I need a second watch! This is the most fun and free #StarWars has been in a long time!

Stephen Cannon @actualstevec.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Ok, my on-camera actor friends. What’s the current preferred/best option for reels? Separate commercial and theatrical, or one combined reel with your best stuff?

000

Stephen Cannon @actualstevec.bsky.social · 01/12/2024

Scott Free and Barda. Or Swamp Thing.

There’s something comforting to me about the annual Macy’s parade viewing. The cheese, the lip syncing, the corporate ick, the bad host scripts…in spite of all that, I still love it!
