I learned how to use a new toy today~ Used a neat little remotely piloted robotic spotlight instead of my usual full followspot~ >>~<<

The spider is scurrying about the theater once again, tending to all of my lights~ It feels nice, having a calling that feeds my core, rather than draining from it. uuwuu Though the weeks spent away from my nest and games are admittedly a bit saddening, no diving for the spider..~

Fufufu, my nest grows more comfy still. Needed to get some new tools for new furniture though aawaa

I even scavenged an ancient little VR headset, which is kinda fun~ I tried out a few silly little games that were on sale, and found that I have very poor aim with actual ironsights ::3 I always aim a little too high, misalign the sights >>.>>

I’m coming out of a pretty bad year in a bad spot, but moved to a new nest and where I’ll be safer, and hopefully happier~ Things slowly improve, from the bottoms of all bad situations it seems.

The spider, finally free of the binding webs of the work rush, has been stricken down by cobid. I’ve had it for a handful of days now, but am finally better enough to have semi rational thought and clear enough vision to see what I’m typing. ;;-;; Hope will get better soon. Please stay safe dears~

As I’ve been recovering from December, I ended up picking up Ship Graveyard Simulator, and gods below, is it the perfect sort of itch for my methodical brain. It has the scale I wanted out of Shipbreaker, with it’s own little spin on the genre. Has left me in much improved spirits than usual~

Luxia, The Caretaker @actualspooder.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

I think I’m slowly projecting my desire for more board games onto those around me, like five different people got one this year. Maybe it’s just a subconscious excuse to go and spend time with someone learning their games, rather than luring people into my nest to capture them and play stuff I own~

Mmh, got time to actually spend time with friends, both yesterday and today, if at least a bit~ The break from toil has been greatly enjoyed, gave me the much needed time to handle scurrying about for gift shopping~ I hope all of you are having a good time for the holidays, and enjoying yourselves~

Luxia, The Caretaker @actualspooder.bsky.social · 16/12/2024

Sorry for going so quiet all month dears, I’ve been working with little to no rest and just about as much sleep for most of November and December. It’s a really busy time for me, and the biggest performance we put together all year~ I look forward to spending time with frens after, am doing okay~

Luxia, The Caretaker @actualspooder.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

This has honestly been something kicking around the back of my brain for a long time. I even have a handful of the technical aspects of how some systems would work for it, and how each Guild Master (DM) would be able to contribute when not playing their adventurers. One day I’ll have the time for it

I took the time amidst the nature things and the time I spent working to step back and play something calmer, narrative heavy. It gives a mind space to process, alongside a little spark of joy in creation~ All in all, Slay the Princess was my choice for it this time, and it was a lovely experience.

I find it kind of funny that I don’t even wear my robes for decency or warmth, it’s honestly just to have a hood to tuck all my hair into so it doesn’t try to invade my food >>.>>

A week of rest, and tentative writing~ I have so many swirling ideas for different hooks and plot-lines and fun ways to explore bits of backstory, but where exactly to start is something that always has, and currently is, stumping me. The ideas clash and swirl in the webs that makes up my brain 😖

Luxia, The Caretaker @actualspooder.bsky.social · 31/10/2024

And with that, there’s sorting all the new cards from The Dream-Eaters into the rest of my collection so far~ Lots of new fun ideas swirling around for the next time I kidnap enough dears to play~ This was honestly a very relaxing capstone to my night, I’m a very happy spider. #ArkhamHorrorTCG

An array of character cards all sorted into two campaign boxes, with a handful of my other Arkham boxes beside them.

Got myself a little treat for surviving the last week of weaving an Opera together~ The collection slowly expands, growing close and closer to it’s final shape of completion~ Hm, I just realized I haven’t posted my board game collection on here yet, maybe after my next grand sorting and cleaning.

Mmh~ I finally had time to properly rest, no surprise sickness, only light soreness, and a period of prolonged unconsciousness after the trenches of daily life’s obligations and necessities~ Managed to fall asleep without a problem, which is rare for my skittering self~

Maybe sleeping in wasn’t he best idea in hindisght >>~>> Gave this form of mine a taste of rest in excess and now it’s grumpy at me for getting back up at my normal time. It craves the comfort of bed, the stillness of rest. Such needy little things, our bodies~ ::3

I decided to Categorize the Vtubers I follow and watch into Phylum's of the animal Kingdom. I ran into a slight issue when I got to some of the Cryptids and other creatures but I think I improvised well. Note if anyone knows of a Nematoad or Flatworm Vtuber let me know.

I finally have a day off~ I forgot what sleeping in feels like. >>.>> I hope all of you are taking care of yourselves, and to those who are already in it, or might be interested in board games, I might be hosting a game night again when this contract is over on the 28th, so somewhere 29th forward~

Good morning friends~ Another early morning for the spider, and with all my scurrying to and fro this morning, I was curious if any of you had any neat or unique comfort spaces~ The thought struck me when I realized how safe and comfy I felt laying under all the supports and rafters understage~

The deep dark shadows swallow the pesky light, all is calm, all is quiet.

Little view out into the rest of the world from where I was working in the under-stage supports.

The lead actress (Big spooky coven leader witch lady) is almost seven feet tall and has to look down at even me for once when handing off props between scenes, this is a strange feeling >>///>>

How did everyone pick their username or Vtuber name? Well, Luxia came from the Latin word for light, combined with my avatar’s original name when she was a TTRPG character, Ariia~ There’s a neat little lore reason that I haven’t finished refining yet~ Caretaker is easy, I love caring for others. <3

Hope you all are having a lovely day~ I wanted to show yall the very first art of Luxia as a character, in this case, Ariia, the TTRPG character she is based on~ The corset was designed by a close friend, and the rest was a spitball of dozens of visual ideas from over the campaign~

Luxia’s first artistic representation, based on a very old GURPS campaign.

Also, Sleeper Citizen demo finished, and the entire stress, crew, and contract system is amazing~ The way they individualized the classes actually having permanent advantages and disadvantages over each other is also super nice~ I’m extremely happy with the experience overall, and even more excited~

Ah yes, in the interest of slowly migrating all of my old pieces of Luxia over, here’s one I had already posted earlier, but wanted to have here anyhow~ A slim little butterfly, delicate as the silk I weave together~

I just started playing the Sleeper Citizen 2 demo and I am soooo damn happy with it. It kept the formula and style, while executing it in a whole new way, I can’t wait until it comes out~

I swear, anytime I’m sick I tap into some latent ability to adjust the flow of time, with no ability to control which way it swings. It’s either days blinking by until I’m better, or minutes stretching into hours, no in between >>~>>

Ah, almost forgot to post my banner as well, another gift from the garden skitterer Kaiku, and probably one of my favorite pieces overall~ The chitin, the eyes, it feels so strange seeing a character in one’s mind given physical form, and it’s something that made me indescribably happy~

Lapys Aoneeris (fae/she 🏳️‍⚧️) @lapysaoneeris.bsky.social · 17/10/2024

I don’t think I ever did an introduction here. Hi, I’m Lapys, guardian of the Dream Library, streamer, writer (in training) and video game enthusiast. I’m ND, probably have autism and/or ADHD, so consistency isn’t my forte. I’m still trying my best and will likely post writing every now and then

Reference sheet with my character, and a short description of my lore.

Text:
Three pillars to the Dream
- A Library. Repository to all the knowledge in the Dream, its exact location is a mystery. A group of reputable scholars once tried to estimate its size to infer where it could be. Their carefully crafted formulas all pointed to it being at least twice as big as the Dream itself.
- A Codex, which never runs out of pages. That which is inscribed there takes form in the Dream. Abused by greedy entities, it was buried in the sands of time, becoming history. History became legend. Legend became myth.
- A Dreamer. When the dreams coming in are getting scarce, a Dreamer has the ability to project themselves to outside worlds, inspiring stories to be turned into new dreams.

Full body reference for Lapys. A tall woman with grey-blue skin, long flowing white hair with a blue underside. She’s wearing a dark short dress with open shoulders and one thigh high white sock. Her feet are bare and she has a couple rings around the left ankle. Her right ankle is held by a magical shackle from which a tube comes out and spiral up around her leg.
At her waist is a belt with a raven’s skull, and on her back, the open back dress reveal a mesh top and a spinal accessory.
She has some accessories like earrings with dark feathers.
