After a somewhat literal Housing Crisis, I found myself in a quaint farming village. This area is is very... autumnal... It's the perfect time of year for Mina The Hollower. Pumpkins, fallen leaves (in more ways than one, apparently), and scarecrows abound. Also I think I have every weapon now!

It's almost a long weekend for me, so I'll throw out a Friday update: Mina the Hollower has some of the most UNNERVING merchants ever - One just gave me some... dancing lessons? I've also almost funded a train fundraiser all by myself, I upgraded my underlabs, and I think I found my second dungeon!

Mina The Hollower continues to be a fun, if a lil unforgiving time. I decided to buy myself a whip, found an area with AN EVEN TOUGHER ARMOURED KNIGHT, found a place with invisible floors, found a surprise rescue mission, and took part in a nose-themed romance subplot... I'm rather enjoying myself!

I started Mina The Hollower. The armored knights WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME. I have lost so many bones because they hit hard and take me out before I can get around them... Also, someone tried to steal my bones and I did find the first of the areas I can go to. Oh, and I guess a bicycle is a subweapon?

Vampire Survivors really is the game that keeps on updating... I dove back into some updated content and some DLC content. I got to see some Bat Dragons, some new and rather bloody characters, some additions to an older DLC pack, and a lot of FEESH. SO MANY FEESH. GIANT FEESH, EVEN.

IMMEDIATELY GRABBED THE BELMONT'S CURSE DEMO. The first boss was rather unforgiving, but I eventually powered through. I definitely see the Dead Cells vibes, but I'm hyped for the Castlevania of it all. I'm already intrigued by the tarot cards... Also, I see you, Trevor Belmont... DILF ALERT!

Okay, fine - I'll pick Touhou Mystia's Izakaya. It's very slice-of-life and, for a fan game, it really captures the softer and sillier side of Gensokyo compared to the core series of Bullet Hell games. You gather ingredients by day and run a food stand by night. It's a pretty chill and cute time!

Welp, I guess this is goodbye, Pipit... I really enjoyed Pipistrello and the Cursed Yo-Yo. The GBA-esque visuals, the pointed humour about capitalism, and the fun navigation mechanics made this a standout game. I'll probably try and 100% it at some point, but that can wait. Now to start a new game!

I made it to the convention... the lineups were a bit much, so I ended up finding a bonus dungeon instead. I also found a badge that lets me cheat. NEAT! I'm already trying to decide what game I'll play next - do I go for Touhou or a Mon-type game? Gotta blame Lahirz and his streams for the latter!

And, yes, I'm aware that "OG Touhou" is technically the PC-98 games... but I'm thinking of EoSD as the OG in terms of the Windows games and the one that defined the Touhou formula around things like Spell Cards. I may not be good at bullet hell games, but I do know a bit of Touhou's history! 😂
