Take care of yourself mate. Streaming/YouTube is so much fun when things are going well, but when they are not it can be so mentally and physically taxing. Content creation, just like pretty much like any self run business is much harder to manage then putting in a 40 hour work week and relaxing.

Firstly I just want to say quickly I'm sorry your local government is corrupt. Secondly very little if any AI training data for programming is stolen in the same way it has been done for artistic works. The one person who run the site using ai to shortcut internal tools is really not the issue.

Sure if that's your opinion but to me I find it severely unethical with it's foundation being created from stealing protects works I also like drawing and writing music and recording videos myself there is something deeply fulfilling about the creative process. Something you clearly don't get.

Time to put in my 2 cents. Using Claude Code for help with programming is not anywhere remotely as harmful as AI generated video, music, art or literature. There is very little if any stolen content in the coding and software development training data for AI unlike creative mediums.

I don't know if people realised but shinydex is not Ben's main job, it's a fun side project he has built for the good of the community. Ben does not run shinydex to profit off shiny hunters, he does it because he loves the community and the hobby. 5/5

Anyways shinydex is a one man project which is obscenely complicated and involves so many parts and Ben should be congratulated for the work he has done and not shunned for creating the service he has created for the shiny hunting community because there has been some use of Claude Code. 4/5

But I can for sure say that the 99.99% for this purpose was either from people willingly training the AI or from open source origins where the software is free to use and modify and open to everyone. 3/5

Artificial intelligence has been created by computer programmers who then have used their skills and knowledge to train the AI. I cannot say for sure that nothing was stolen because I do not work for any of those companies. 2/5

I've been seeing some shinydex drama that's kinda been annoying me. GenAI usage with programming is not on the same level as it is for generating, music, art or stories. Because it was not foundationally created on stolen content in the same way it is for those mediums. 1/5

People will complain about anything and everything if the new games aren't exactly like their perfect ideal of a Pokemon game. A lot of these people are yet to realise they are no longer the target audience for the video games. Every Pokemon is someone's favourite.

Content creation, whether it's streaming or making videos for any platform is supposed to be enjoyable. If you're in it for the money that mindset is so stupid. If you want quick cash start a drop shipping business or something. There's so many better ways of getting money.

I will note that you can enjoy the game without interacting much with the sandbox aspects and instead just following the story and uncovering the lore. It is expensive though ans I buy everything pokemon, so if you don't trust the words of a Pokemon shill 🤷. But I think you would enjoy the game.

I would recommend learning at least the basics of music theory. Things like key, time signatures and chord structures. Knowing that stuff will be incredibly helpful. You don't need to study that much either. Just a couple of YouTube videos and you'll be good.
