In the context of "origin video game" = "the one that turned you into a life-long gamer," my answer would be The Prisoner on the Apple II. Except I was a gamer before that. The real answer is Diplomacy.

It's proportional to the _square_ of the distance from the point source, assuming an isotropic radial field. Which doesn't change your perspective at all. But you know me: honesty above all.

A work-related gripe: There are three things a physicist will never do: Go faster than the speed of light. Make two electrons occupy the same quantum state. Put something back where they found it. There’s substantial experimental evidence for all three of these statements.

It also let me plan a bit. For the last couple of our BG3 sessions together, I kept complaining about to Real Angela that she was rushing things and that planning was a better strategy. It was a devious scheme on my part so that she’d enjoy the video all the more.
