You rang?
The Meat Monster, from John Die's In The End. A human form, constructed from frozen meats, in a threatening pose. In a typical US basement.

Who do I sue when an AI diagnosis kills someone I love? - The doctor? - The hospital? - The AI CEO who continually lies about his products? - The anonymous contractor who's actually running the script? Where is the accountability? Where is the liability? Who is actually making decisions?
Image of all caps black text on light background:

A computer can never be held accountable

Therefore a computer must never make a management decision

Serious answer, @prisonculture.bsky.social: - States' attorneys - Supported by state police - To upheld sworn oaths - To protect the constitutional rights of their residents When each state joined the Union, it enacted a state constitution. I expect my state to protect those rights.

Get a flash mob together, to follow them around pointing and screeching like pod people. (In addition to filming and whistle blowing, of course.)

You know exactly how it works. The proposals and announcements don't matter. What matters is anyone can be arrested and deported, for skin color or refusing to kiss the king's ass.

It’s always delightful to recieve a mysterious package, lost to memory and the package room, with a serendipitous treat from @richardkadrey.bsky.social. Also impressed by the archival scan of original text supplied by @archive.org. It tickles to have hardcopy of the treasure from that journey.
Photo of the covers of a book, Kamikaze L’amour by Richard Kadrey, and a DVD movie, Two Evil Eyes (1990).

You have inspired me to donate, and to prepare for both Halloween and invasion:
An inflatable Halloween costume in the image of Gossamer, a Looney Tunes character. He is a large, hairy red monster. His body is perched on two giant tennis shoes, and his heart-shaped face is composed of only two oval eyes and a wide mouth, with two hulking arms ending in dirty, clawed fingers. He was first featured in 1946 cartoon Hair-Raising Hare.
