Since the gov eliminated the de minimis exemption in the us last year, instead of everyone paying a separate customs and duties fee, putting all the orders together would mean we all split the cost of that fee. Ultimately making it much more cost effective to ship from a foreign country.

I think, that with the current system, and the fact they got rid of de minimis (no charge for packages below a certain weight being shipped from a foreign country), shipping them all together would reduce the price of custom duties for everyone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems like the goal.

People truly have a huge sense of entitlement over fanfiction that isn't theirs. They make a lot of demands. There is a certain kind of joy in forgetting something exists and finding it updated much later. Reread it, update your memories, enjoy a new chapter and remember why you loved it over again.

It breaks my heart. Some of these fics are big multi-chapter stories with wonderful plots that I just KNOW someone put days and weeks and months into writing. That someone would take all that blood, sweat and tears and just ruin it for the author and those of us who do love it, is just hateful.
