He starts to look more offended, but shakes it off with a haughty laugh. "W-what... HA HA HA HA! He propped his hands up on his hips. "Now, let me..."

He followed Kris out of the room, and along the way, stunned even more enemies, and Berdly would level up again before coming across yet another puzzle. To avoid a repeat of the room before, Berdly turns to you with an offer. "I'll... I'll do this one, Kris. Just stay up there."

Berdly looks at you with incredulity. "W... what?! But, Kris, I--!" He sputtered. "Kris, I... I solved the other ones! What makes you think I can't--?!"

"Kris... wh... why NOT?! " He threw his arms up in the air. "Why now, of all times, have you suddenly decided..."

Suddenly, he appears to have a relevation, but... he doesn't look very confident about it. "Ha... Ha! I get it Kris! You... y-you... you envy me, don't you?" He asks you, trying to put on a smug smile. "Of.. o-of course the sidekick feels inferior to their hero! Clearly, y-you... you want all the smarts that I have... but you can't seem to achieve on your own." His smile strains and he looks more nervous and desperate than smug now. "Is... that it, Kris?"

Just like he did when you two were at Queen's poster by the dumpster, Berdly looks like he's on the verge of tears again. "... Right. Of course. Perhaps... that was a silly question." He tries to force a less smug and more kind smile in your direction. "Go ahead, Kris... you can do the puzzle."
