The Administration says it wants #Medicaid verification built on data states already have, so people aren't buried in paperwork. That's exactly what ACHP has called for. Whether it works comes down to how states build it and the plans closest to patients can help them get it right.

Most Americans on #Medicaid already work or are in school. The new work requirements rule piles on documentation & tightens exemptions, making it harder for eligible people to keep the coverage they qualify for. The program's success should be measured by health outcomes, not coverage losses.

CMS Admin. Dr. Oz tells @achp-org.bsky.social this morning that he wants CMS to improve efficiency and “be the best payer out there.” But adds that “we have to move the ship in a very precise way” because with rising costs “we’re basically becoming one big healthcare system with a small country.”
