Fun fact: Current OKC starting QB Jon Paulson would've had a lot more college tape if Everhart hadn't been so good. Paulson convinced his former teammate to come to the Showcase, and now they're teammates once again, albeit with their roles reversed.

So much turnover this year as all but 1 team will likely have a new week one starter in 2027. For a playoff team like Portland, however, getting an experienced vet like Jones who's been in the Unity FL, the SSFL, and a brief stay with National Football's Boston team is as good as it gets.

We didn't mention Muller's college because he never went. An 8 man football star with speed to burn, Muller had multiple offers, but naysayers in his town convinced him he wasn't good enough and talked him out of going. Now though, he returns after years away to truly test himself.

With the 13th pick in the ACFL QB Draft, the Arkansas Swarm select Scott Muller.

If you're keeping count, that's two Panhandle College alums in a row. No surprise as we had a good few of them make the final cut. Ramirez played in Egypt after his college career and was an MVP candidate in their AA Football League.

Donnie Sitton barely got to start in college, so it was hard to know what to make of him. As soon as he got the ball at the ACFL Showcase, we knew he was special. After college, he had many jobs including prison guard, social worker, and teacher. Now though? He's a QB once more.

Cooper came out of a disappointing final season at Lexington with his eyes on the big leagues. Not finding a spot, he ventured to the Northern League, then to San Antonio's US Arena team, then to the Euro League where we found him. Tons of experience and tons of heart.

Sullivan is one of the best stories in this Draft. At 45 years old, he entered the football scene after years away when he showed up with his 15 year old son to an open tryout for US Arena's Indy Team. While there, he showcased mobility and arm strength. Age aside, this guy can play!

We're halfway there! With the 8th pick in the ACFL QB Draft, the Milwaukee Cruisers select Dave Sullivan out of Fishers, Indiana.

San Diego has a new QB at the HELM (get it?). Pane is as gifted as Quarterbacks get. In DI-AA, he showcased a talented arm, and a ton of football IQ. San Diego has to be pleased he was even available at 7.

James was originally a college QB at Minneapolis with the Goldies of MU, but circumstances and family troubles forced him to Northern Arizona, where he switched to WR. When he contacted the ACFL, about our showcase, it was requested that he try QB again. Needless to say it went well enough.

Collie balled out at Eastern Louisiana, earning 1 MVP nod and almost winning another. He was rewarded with a brief stint in the big leagues with Washington. He later joined Stateside Football's Memphis squad, but couldn't salvage a rough situation there. He hopes to regain the magic in Boise.

Butler's passing stats didn't jump off the page at Nazarene, but at 5'11", 225, it was plain to see he is a gifted rusher. Omaha takes a chance early on Tate, hoping they can develop his arm while profiting off his running. Will we see the wildcat come back?

Surprise! Our 2026 season was suspended earlier this year due to scheduling difficulties, among other things. But now we've made it back. The games have been played, we had a playoff, and now we're ready for the first ever ACFL Championship between the New Jersey Continentals and the OKC Stampede!

Championship Game between the NJ Continentals and the OKC Stampede. The playoff bracket shows 8 teams.

On the left side (Eastern Conference) in the first round, starting from the top and working down, the Continentals took down the Wichita Threshers 27-15, and the Pennsylvania Quakers beat the Arkansas Swarm 14-3. Then in the 2nd round, the New Jersey Continentals demolished the Quakers 36-9 to advance to the Championship Game.

On the right side, again starting from the top, the number 1 seed Portland Pioneers notched a close win over the San Diego Helm 18-15, while OKC controlled most of the game before a late comeback attempt by the Albuquerque Dukes tightened the score. Ultimately, the OKC Stampede won 24-21.
OKC and #1 Portland advanced to the second round to see who would play New Jersey in the Championship Game. Oklahoma City won comfortably with a score of 16-0.

The Championship game will feature the #2 Oklahoma City Stampede and the #3 New Jersey Continentals.

With so many corporate leagues bowing to corporate or government fascism, and others just continuously employing abusers, criminals, women-haters, transphobes, etc, wouldn't it be nice to have a league with a conscience? Well since you asked ..... Hello, were the ACFL.
