Is the gap too big to stuff it with steel wool? That's my go-to kludge for mouse prevention. I also once took an old metal license plate and nailed it over the (defunct) mail slot (the PO won't deliver to front doors any more here unless you're disabled) mailslot was in hall closet so not visible

Virtue signaling is good*, actually, because it signals an endorsement of virtues. Given the tremendous right-wing effort to signal and perform vice (televised executions, racist politicized raids, denigration of empathy, etc.) turns out we cannot actually take "lip service to virtue" for granted.

I've also been verbally dismissed by ADMINS on this campus, guys who knew they could get away with being rude to a woman because they are in a greater position of power than her. the worst offender was also known to be "handsy" but at least he never tried it with me. (Maybe I am too uggo for him)

it's complicated. I used to do these exams as half in-class, half take-home. But in the age of AI cheating, I have decided to do them all in-class and I struggle to make the exams achievable in the time given I'm flailing and failing.
