Quite simply the most beautiful track ever produced using a TB-303 Bassline. 30 years old... Steffen Muller, electronic pioneer, musical maestro. 🎧

Great. My reading list is pretty full for a while anyway. I'll keep an eye out for it.

This looks grreat Ian. Are there any plans for a paperback version?

And the rest. It was going on way before the pandemic. Somehow the tories quadrupled the N debt in a decade during austerity? Where did all that go as it wasn't being spent on public services...?

Prophet! But not if Milei has anything to do with it.

There's such a thing as anarchism (opposition to all forms of oppressive power)—there's such a thing as capitalism (a system in which a few people accumulate oppressive power over everyone else via market competition)—but there's no such thing as "anarcho"-capitalism. crimethinc.com/podcasts/the...

A headline from the Wall Street Journal, which reads

"Javier Milei, a Self-Described Anarcho-Capitalist, Is Elected President of Argentina

The libertarian outsider, who says he will upend years of free- spending populist rule, defeats ruling party candidate Sergio Massa"

Looks fascinating, an insight into a part of history I didn't even know existed.

A forgotten gem. I fell in love to this album - Private Revolution. "You've got to find the brightness inn the soul, Not look outside to find out where we are. Or you won't be satisfied Until you make posessions of the stars."

There's a deep sense of sadness and loneliness seeing this record shattering graph. November 17, 2023 was the first day in recorded history when the earth's surface was a whole 2°C hotter than pre-industrial times. Yet, there's barely any chatter about this staggering breach.

Graph showing daily temperature anomaly hitting peak of 2.06°C on November 17th, 2023 for the time period starting from 1940 to 2023.

It’s almost like there’s is an intentional effort to threaten and silence the folks who are trying to highlight/address the toxic manipulation of online platforms. These folks don’t just want “freedom of speech”. They seem to want complete “freedom from accountability”.

Musk's X has become unbearable. I follow loads of prog/alt/antifa/anarchy/socialist etc accounts but since the takeover all I ever see are heavily amplified, far right tossers.

I watch PBS’s Nova religiously and learned last night that Oxford has developed a new vaccine for malaria that has 70-80% efficacy and it just got approved by the WHO and will save millions of lives in the years to come. Sharing some good news bc it tends to get lost out there.

I used Sky Follower to add my favourite Xers. I don't think most of them are very active over here but have already connected with a few gems. The non-active ones aren't going to fill up my feeds anyway so I reckon I'll keep most on ice in the hope that they migrate eventually.

When F1 first went to ITV in the UK (maybe 30 years ago?) they had breaks mid race. Nightmare.

Are they normally shown with ad breaks in the US? Not sure I could cope!
