All 19 films (including the Dead Darlings and audio-described Blocks 1 + 2) are AVAILABLE TO WATCH NOW. Your ticket will give you access to not just each film, but also filmmaker panels + Q&A’s. Watch all October by getting your ticket: accesshorror.filmchief.com/hub
“Kill your darlings” is supposed to be writing advice. Nobody warns you it also works as a threat.

The stories in “Dead Darlings” are about the parts of ourselves, our histories, and our attention that refuse to stay buried no matter how hard we try to cut them loose. Nothing in this block dies as easily as you’d like. You may notice that Blocks 1 and 2 include an audio-described version of every film. We wanted that for Dead Darlings, too. Audio description done properly is real production work with a real price tag, and this year’s budget ran out before this block did.

These ten films earned their place in the festival on their own terms, and cutting them to make the numbers work wasn’t an option we were willing to take.
We’re working to close this gap for next year. If that’s something you want to help make happen, you can help us get there by donating at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-420.

As we countdown to the 2026 Access:Horror film festival, we have another @shudder.com recommendation this week: Stopmotion. This film blends live action & animation to create a hypnotic and grisly horror-thriller that will make you question what’s real & what’s imagined. Have you watched it yet?
