Painted in an art trade with a young artist in Germany. I like her sassy look. "The book is not important. Pay attention to me!"

This year I discovered a real joy working in a more sketchy form — lots of monochrome pieces. Of course I also made a number of paintings, several of which I am quite proud of. I completed the #kimo7 challenge in March. And I did a whole mess of gesture drawing. #artsummary2025

A big collage of my paintings and drawings from 2025. The top-left quadrant comprises various monochrome works, including a few portraits and several figure drawings. The top-right shows off paintings, including portraits of my wife, my muse, a few celebrities, and a handful of animals. The bottom right quadrant exhibits works made during the Kimodameshi challege — a little looser because each was made on a daily drive. The remainder of the frame is filled with a jumble of gesture drawings made throughout the year
