This is a small scene between Seán and Alistair, as they have to interact while still having a lot of animosity between them. Well, mostly from Alistair's side. Which made me laugh while writing it, so I wanted to share it with you all.

With the topic being over and done for now, Alistair picked out various ingredients. Before looking at Seán and holding out his hand. “I need your knife.”

“Why? Going to stab me?” Seán asked sarcastically.

“Tempting.” Alistair replied in a low tone, that only they could hear. “But no. I need it to cut the vegetables, and I know that you should have a knife on you somewhere.”

“Fine. Since it gets me food, you can have it.” Seán sighed and gave in, as he pulled out a small knife from one of the various holsters attached to his body. “Here you go. Just give it back later, preferably by not jamming the blade into me.” he handed it over.

“Thank you.” Alistair took it. “Could you go and boil some water, while I prepare the ingredients?”

“Yes, dear.” Seán got up from where he had been lounging and obediently went to do as he was told.
