A man who, due to the circumstances of his life, struggles with making major decisions for himself or expressing much in the way of conventional personhood. He's been taught all his life he only needs to follow the command of the strongest person that'd tell him what to do, and, as it happens, his human general simply did not measure up against the dragon lord of the dungeon to whom he is now unquestioningly loyal.
He speaks very little unless he reasons it practically necessary or is when asked to, it's possible he finds the act mentally straining.*
Though can be told to take care of his body and cleanliness above the absolute bare minimum, unless told to, he frequently doesn't, leading The Bramble King to conclude, that though he can upkeep himself on his own, he would benefit from help. Curiously, Atlas seems to have no similar issues when helping others with such tasks.
Bramble King's thing as always, is, to make the residents of his dungeon live a more comfortable existence whatever that might mean exactly, and this guy is no exception. For the time being, he offers Atlas a role of being useful in a way he's familiar with, as the archetypal scary muscle, while slowly figuring out what could be done for his troubles with and antagonism towards the concept of free will.
The only long-term technically human resident of the dungeon. The King's theory is that he would have to somehow make this man "human enough" to have any hope of actually corrupting him into a monster if such a thing is even possible. Though truthfully he's a fine addition to his collection as is.
Adventurers however, typically do not think he is human, just that there's something they're missing that would obviously tell them otherwise. After all clearly no human is that strange, right?
