That may be possible if Labour in Scotland were able to follow policies that the Scottish people actually like. Sadly, the local branch office is tied to follow the policies from down south: fleece the pensioners; deny Scottish democracy; and look after England, above all.

A nice summary of Reform's place in Scotland. They are an anti-Scottish, English nationalist group who will never look out for Scotland's best interests. With independence we can rid ourselves of these people once and for all.

The looming prospect of a Reform Government at Westminster should have us all deeply concerned. Farage has outlined his (ridiculous) plans with barely a response from our MSM. Do we really want to live in a country akin to Trump's USA?

There are so many issues with AI Data Centres that we should not move forward without careful research into the pollution, resource demands and other associated health risks. Where does the power come from? The water? Do not let big tech and a surveillance hungry Westminster bulldoze Scotland.

Based on recent evidence, I am tempted to believe that there will be a period of unionist politicians criticising this move before there is widespread adoption of the same policy across all of England. This will be floated as another genius idea from Burnham.

It is very sad that our MSM, for the most part, are not interested in proper journalism. If they were then the content of this blog piece would be what was reported widely in our news feeds. Instead, we have anti-Scottish, negative spin masquerading as a serious story.

An excellent and insightful article. It's naive of us to think that we are customers of social media companies. We are a commodity to be monetised whilst their sites may be doing us harm. Is it OK for them to be doing that to us at ANY age? Do they have a responsibility for their content? We'll see!

If we end up with an investigation into all political parties in Scotland then we may discover some "interesting" things... Sarwar says that the SNP have nothing to fear if they have nothing to hide. Why, then, does he want to avoid scrutiny of his own party? 🤔

Academics for Scottish Independence @academicsforindy.scot · 05/06/2026
Perhaps Labour want to investigate the SNP to find out how to increase their own donations? Reform is leaving them well behind in the 'taking in the money' stakes. Either that or it is just a shameless and nasty ploy against the indy movement. Ah, yeah, that'll be it!

The increasing and recurring problem for the UK nations who aren't England. The article comes to the same conclusion as many Scots: we need to leave the UK.

This should strike a chord with those of us living in the UK. Our MSM are already complicit in undermining truth in news reporting. The recent BBC Question Time programme on AI had a panel showing just how far some will go to push an agenda. It is imperative that Scotland goes independent.

A choice that gives us all an insight into her approach to politics. It’s difficult to comprehend why she would do this. Maybe the Scottish Government should just announce independence in a YouTube video?

Glad to see that we are not planning to 'just accept' fascism in the midst of our democracy. Reform has nothing to offer the average Scot - except abject poverty.

Who would ever have thought that a UK Government would support genocide and ban those who choose to oppose it. Dark days for the UK. Westminster badly needs a political enema.

This sounds a lot more believable than what Mr Sarwar is offering. And, of course, his London-based superiors are desperate to build unnecessary nuclear power stations in Scotland. If you don't want this then you know how to vote on the 7th of May.

It is sad that Labour continues to oversee a much higher rate of child poverty in England and Wales than in Scotland. Despite this, people like Jackie Baillie continue to spout lies about the figures. Every party will try to spin stories to their advantage but they should not be allowed to lie.

AI has been around in one form or another for quite a while now. It has its merits. However, it should not become a fashion trend: we need checks and balances, as this article shows. Kudos to NHS for Yes for making sure that this didn't drop under the radar!

Yet another reason to encourage everyone to fact check before voting in May. Certain institutions will never report favourably on Scottish matters - despite the evidence showing that they should do so.

This appears to be a new Labour strategy: make extravagant promises about what they will do but ensure that timeframe is so long that they can't possibly be held accountable. 2062! Will Labour still exist then? Scotland has found a better way already. The choice for the HR election is clear.

This tells us the truth that the MSM don't want us to hear. The Labour Government is desperate to force new nuclear plants to be built in Scotland. Apparently we are denying Scottish people jobs by refusing them. On the plus side, it appears that we could be saving Scottish lives by refusing them!

I understand that the BBC can't help itself when it comes to negative spin about Scotland. However, when deaths have occurred, it should be top priority to ensure that anyone affected understands the truth of where responsibility lies.
