Very sick of hearing this bullshit. Apparently a deadline tomorrow, if no TACO. Assuming tariffs for many items will be be at 25 or 35%, but things like oil, asbestos, natural gas will only be 10% because they need them. Please PMMC top those items with a matching export surcharge.

Glad to hear the tariffs are put on hold for now. And it sounds like it is basically based on what Cdn govt had already proposed for the fight on fentanyl. However... do not trust Trump. Less than 3 hours ago he said AGAIN that the offer needed to be Canada becoming the 51st state.

Thinking about our (CDA) position in a trade war with US. We should be in a position of strength? We export many raw materials the US needs. Oil, gas, wood, minerals, etc.. Tariffs will reduce demand, but only so much? What items do we import from the US that we can't source from elsewhere?
