There is an interesting path for E-Day Part 3 (or 2 if it's not a new trilogy 🤷) and Gears 6 to be the same game. Parallel story where the father son dynamic of JD and Marcus takes the spotlight while mirroring it with Marcus and his own father as saving him was what put Marcus in jail

There is a scripted loss to a boss fight in Onimusha Way of the Sword where to "encourage" you losing they take away the HUD. I was still kicking ass. 😏
