Update!! Two weeks on steroids and Frankie has regained some sight in his left eye (previously thought he had almost none). The vet said he has passed some neurological tests that he previously failed. And overall he was much more present and curious during his exam.

Got some very devastating news about Frankie’s health. Haven’t done a scan to confirm but the neurologist is fairly confident he has a brain tumor. I bought him this bed so he has a cozy place to sleep near us and he’s loving it. Just wish I had a magic 8 ball that could tell me what to do

Frankie is getting a somewhat risky tooth procedure tomorrow, and I’m really anxious 😥 but he’s not eating, losing weight, and has overall been declining for a few weeks….really hoping everything goes well tomorrow and he starts to feel better (with a few less teeth)

The sick boy in question- he’s got hyperthyroidism (on meds), a heart murmur, an unexplained neurological condition/seizures, dental disease, and just lost 2 lbs with no explanation and he’s only NINE!!! We’ve done all sorts of specialists and tests but no answers on most of it :(

As a Californian it was cold but not unmanageable. It didn’t snow but did the week earlier. I got by just fine with thick wool socks and docs, a thermal, sweater, and a down coat + hat gloves scarf. It was in the 30s while we were there but was much colder the previous week so we got lucky 😅
