Everybody keeps attributing ocarinas to Legend of Zelda even though Crystalis did it first... Pathetic 😂

This probably won't last long, so I'll just enjoy it while I can...

I have made it a "Nice" number of days into learning Japanese... It's coming along, but I'm still struggling with a lot. I've also been using Renshuu to study as well. It's cool when I can pick up bits and pieces of what people say in anime and Japanese Twitch streams though!

Fixed up the alignment of the ".:NECRO-CYBER:." panel. Didn't notice that extra space until earlier today and it bugged me all day. Also got the main header done... took ages between PabloDraw and Neovim, but I got it! #BBS #Sysop #ANSIart

Working on some BBS stuff... I was never great at ANSI and this is proof lol

So I can't sign into Twitch anymore, that's cool. I was able to spin up a new Floorp profile and it worked for a day, now back to this again. I suspect it might be due to my aggressive ad-blocking and they can eat an entire buffet of unwiped asses if that is why. (Also, that is not my PW lol)

I've been keeping up with Wagotabi, haven't missed a day yet. 120 words mastered now! Sometimes I think I'm not actually absorbing anything, but I've played some Japanese games and listened to some Japanese dialogue and stuff and I am actually able to understand bits and pieces of things. #Progress!

Abraxas86 @abraxas.wtf · 03/05/2026

I've plateaued a bit in the studying... Complex sentences are ruining me. Last few days have been lots of testing to try to make sense of it. Learning new words is one thing, but figuring out how to use them correctly is a whole other thing. 毎日日本語を勉強しますけど、下手です 🙃

Abraxas86 @abraxas.wtf · 02/05/2026

16 days in, this is my progress so far. Things are definitely getting trickier - sentences are becoming more advanced with prepositions and conjunctions in the mix, but I will keep at it! The game teaches through lessons, quizzes, spelling tests, and mock conversations.

It's crazy to me how many people are willing to pay that much money for a game that can be taken from them at any time, and comes baked in with Denuvo. I suppose it's not as bad as a rootkit, but still gross. Wonder if this one slows down the game, too...

Riichi City dudes: Does anybody know how to get more StarLink messages? I got these three at the start of this event but no more have shown up. I have a lot of fully leveled characters, I don't get it...

Whelp... here we are lol. Got a lot of work to do before it goes live, but I guess it's happening. If I want to bitch about us needing to go back to BBS's, I need to help lead by example. #BBS #telnet #mystic #sysop

What anime is yours from? Goku Midnight Eye - it's NSFW but really good. I need to watch it again.

Took my son to a show last night (his kinds music), and I caught these madlads in the crowd. I wish every concert had shiny pokemon like these. Is this what non-metal shows are like?

A person recording the show with a modern Android flip-phone

Another person recording the concert with a Nintendo 3DS XL

Yet another person in the crowd is reading a book on an e-reader between sets

"What if we took Mahjong, spiced the rules just a bit, and made it into a roguelike? 🤔 Works surprisingly well once you get over them saying english terms for everything instead of the (IMO) far better Japanese terms. #DemonicMahjong

I think I just lost to the true final boss of Mahjong last night... This was in RC's "Fury Wave" where you just keep going and winning until the wall has run out. If I hear Seibi say "Tsumo" one more time... (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ 🤣 #Mahjong #Riichi #RiichiCity #FuryWaves #Oof

I heard somebody else talking about the Beacn thing the other day, too. Sucks that nobody's found a way to interface with it yet. If you need an alternative, I know it's not cheap but Linux will pick up the Stream Deck, and there are programs you can use to hook into it. I use Stream Controller
