Ha. I did paint it! But I'm not the other things :) Think you must be thinking of the other wonderful Anna Wilson that is a writer... we get mistaken all the time 🙃

And the wind keeps on blowing! Roaring down the chimney and rattling the windows. I’m home alone and it’s almost like having company.

So very excited to have this book in the wonderful Inclusive Books for Children shortlist! Thank you so much @nicolettejones.bsky.social for sharing - this was one of my favourite spreads I painted for this wonderful book!

Back at work after a most incredibly relaxing actual switched off break knitting and chatting and walking and swimming and running the beautiful coast path with family. So lucky! Made this picture to celebrate this recharge time and also get me going drawing again...

If you’re a creator or work in the creative industries or otherwise have a heart, then please add your voice to this UK Gov consultation on AI and Copyright. I said ‘freelance’ for company and ‘unsure’ for super-granular legal stuff but made my voice heard. You can too. www.gov.uk/government/c...

"The ghost of this old publishing model, based on long-obsolete printing technologies, still haunts the high-tech 21st-century headquarters of our big publishing corporations." A great article by @juliangough.bsky.social on the missing books for 5-to-7-year-olds. www.irishtimes.com/culture/book...

Drawing some tiny things... in memory of Edinburgh's snowy Saturday. I just love the golden glow that shines from the buildings at this time of year in this old stony city.

ahh Edinburgh is very good at those cosy vibes! And gosh, living on the equator would be something else! I love a good equatorial thunderstorm though - we don't get those here!

Finally, we have a sprinkle of snow! I know I should just be happy we got any at all... but I always want more. And I really do wish this was the first fall of a good few months of a city under snow.

By far the best way to make my life better... going out to sit in a city and draw! Particularly with lovely company. Thank goodness for turning the world into pictures - so joyful, so calming.
