We condemn in the strongest terms Israel’s torture camps & its recent passage of a death penalty for Palestinians who fight back against their own genocide. Full statement: abolitionistlawcenter.org/2026/04/17/i...
Nearly 10,000 Palestinians are confined in Israeli prisons*, including 300+ children and 3,000+ detained under administrative detention or incarceration without trial or charge.

Conditions in Israeli prisons are so harsh that the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories has described them as a “network of torture camps.”

prisoner support organization

On March 30, 2026, the Israeli Knesset passed a “Death Penalty for Terrorists” law that calls for Palestinians convicted of acts of violence in resistance to the illegal occupation of their lands to be hanged.
“The selective application of capital punishment on ethnic or national grounds, or because of one’s political views, constitutes a particularly stark form of discriminatory harm [and] undermines the most basic guarantees of equality before the law.”

—Alice Jill Edwards
UN Special Rapporteur on Torture

Black ink Illustration of hands holding a rope with text "lessons in global solidarity by James Kilgore - A Luta Continua""“If we are to move forward as a movement of radical or revolutionary change, if we are to really progress down the road of abolition, we need a global perspective, like what has characterized our movements & global movements in the past. The spark of this international solidarity has been lit by the efforts of activists to demand a ceasefire & liberation in Palestine. But it is not enough. We need to push faster forward. We need to not only imagine a world without prisons, wars and super exploitation, but imagine how we build organizations that can make that happen & then set about building those organizations.”
