Just saw Zach Cregger's Resident Evil. A great take on the franchise that really captures the feeling of watching your friend who's bad at videogames try to speedrun one blind. Great sense of humour with dark comedy bleeding through in every scene. Millennial man put in situations / 10.

The original justification for cable TV was that because you were paying directly there wouldn't be advertisements. Time is a flat circle.

I've got an ongoing arrangement with an old friend where I make smutty stickers to go on the back of his car so here is the latest one.

A stylised illustration of an elf in a dynamic pose reaching out towards the viewer with her left hand and her right arm stretched out behind her. In her right hand she holds a whip which snakes around her with the end "close" to the viewer with an effect that indicates impact. She is wearing black thigh high boots, black arm length gloves, a black corset, black collar and a black face mask.

Like the first image except outlines are closer to the darkest colours of the areas they contain.

Got this from my gym login app and, as stupid a gamification function as it is, I've been struggling with some extremely serious depression this year and seeing something like this so seeing this as a reminder of what I'm capable of is nourishing on a deep, emotional level.

There's some telephone poles in my local area where snapdragons have self seeded and I'm really impressed by their ability to grow in such an awful environment considering they're such beautiful flowers.

The bottom of a British wooden telephone pole surrounded by a brick pavement. Trails of melted and solidified bitumen can be seen on the telephone pole and next to bolted on steel that covers the cables is a small Snapdragon plant with bright pink and red flowers.

84 pages. Getting close to the first act of this segment and finally feeling like I'm properly back in the saddle when it comes to game writing. I've done a high level narrative plan which should do me well, but after this I'm going to need to figure out location numbers, characters, scope, etc.

We have hit 75 pages of script which, when I give myself some positive acknowledgement, is quite a lot. Especially considering this is sitting on top of about 50 pages of planning and design documentation and pseudo code explanation.

I replaced the fence in my garden that had loads of panels damaged by ivy punching through when I moved in. The rear is lined with black plastic to stop shoots growing between the cracks and hopefully I only have to deal with it coming over the top. This counts as art.

A stylised illustration of a blonde elf standing side on to the viewer but twisting their upper body to almost slave them. They are wearing a denim mini skirt, white crop t shirt, cream cowboy boots and large, round glasses. Their expression is disconnected from the viewer.

saw this post years ago and will never ever forget it. sometimes you need to tend to the place from which you create, before you can create again

Screenshot of a tumblr post by user aureliobooks that reads: My dad likes to call the stretches of time where you’re not creating “dreaming periods” and says that they’re meant to allow you to absorb all of the beauty, life, and inspiration from the things around you so that when you’re able to create again, you will have fanned your spark back into a flame. Sometimes its hard to see those moments as anything but stagnation, but he always says that they’re natural and healthy and needed—things that should be embraced rather than feared.
