abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026Whether Statesboro truly needs, or deserves a soccer team, I still hope it gets to have one again. 011
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026And bringing it all back home, cheering at the top of my lungs while covering his ears in his baby Bjorn. Countless memorable players both on and off the pitch will always be in my memory. I truly hope they come back, in some shape or form. 100
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026Now I just wonder what I will do with my Friday and Saturday nights. How else I'm going to drive my wife nuts yelling at the TV or a bunch of random guys on a pitch. If this truly is it, it was a great run. A championship run, driving over 4 hrs to the semifinal in Greenville with my month old. 100
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026From year one when they went pro, I had multiple season passes, even for the COVID year. I had grown a little disillusioned with the club for one reason or another, but kept going. This last year I wasn't a season ticket holder, just for financial reasons, but I watched every game on stream. 100
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026I heard that Statesboro had a soccer team, but didn't go because I lived 45 minutes away and didn't feel like making the trip. Then Kieth, one of the owners of the comic book store started giving me free tickets. So of course I went, and I was soon invested. 100
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026You know, I grew up around soccer my whole life. With my dad and all his family from England, it's just kinda always there. But aside from playing growing up, I never really enjoyed watching it. I might watch a world cup game now and again, or watch some prem games with my dad but that was about it 110
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 24/02/2026You know, I just moved to Columbia a little over a month ago. I was bummed that I would miss the home games, but was hoping to catch them in Greenville and on the stream. 110
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 22/02/2026Have you gotten ahold of the club? I'm assuming if you did that woukd be need to know info. 100

abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 22/02/2026The stadium was practically unchanged from the end of the 2022 season besides a gravel parking lot, a building for the field draining system that they used for merch, and lightly more cement to walk on instead of dirt. I've been wanting to make a big post for the last two years about all the 110
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 22/02/2026The financial health of the club has been poor for a couple years if not longer. All the season ticket events when theyr were saying all the things they were gunna do, like Finnish the stadium adding this or that. Then at the end of the season literally nothing would have changed. 110
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 22/02/2026I've known multiple people that have worked for the owner either with the club or his other businesses. It was definitely a we can figure it out before it's too late, or denial 110
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 21/02/2026I'm honestly surprised it didn't happen sooner. I was suprised to see them even announce this year after all the financial issues the team and the ownership group have had. From not paying their staff on time to having the property that the club house and training fields on going up for foreclosure. 020
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 12/02/2026Those w league schedules are brutal. They play 3 games a week sometimes. 010

abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 03/01/2026We get at least one "aw man" transfer or free agent leaving a year. Just have to expect it I guess. If it contributes to the success and longevity of the club it's just a pill we have to swallow. 110

abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 14/12/2025If so we would be 2 for 2 for big keeper signings. I was just thinking that both his former Knoxville coaches are here now, so why not? 030
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 14/12/2025Looks like Sean lewis, he's a free agent now right? 120

abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 07/11/2025Nor will it. While you are there going crazy, I'm on the far side right next to the Chattanooga fans screaming my head off with my 2 month old in a baby Bjorn. 010
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 05/11/2025It's been a wild ride, I for one didn't think we would even get this one extra game. So a bonus is a bonus I guess. I enjoyed all the blogs on the way there. 120

abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 05/10/2025I almost would have preferred texoma to win, because even if they won that game and their next three they would only be at 38. And even if we lose our next three we would still have them beat on total wins as a tie breaker 100
abinchicken89.bsky.social @abinchicken89.bsky.social · 14/08/2025If Spokane got a forfeit for using an unapproved player for 10 minutes than knoxville should definitely forfeit if they can't use their entire field twice. At the very least there needs to be financial compensation. 010
