This isn't an original idea but after the whole MTG MSCHF superdrop kinda went tits up I've been thinking of making a whole proxy deck in a similar style. This is just a quick example made from scrap, I hope it illustrates the idea.

Spoilers for Transformers The Movie, I had a big ramble on Letterboxed about it. Such a wondeful time, there's a ton to enjoy, especially on a big screen as that's where you can best appreciate the tremendous accomplishment that is cel animation.

"Oh my goodness, what a wondeful thing to have the privilege of seeing on the big screen.
The story may be choppy but that animation! It's wondeful seeing things slide on cels, the joining mark from two cels paning left to right, the little fun bits like a characters eyes bulging out and brief animation errors. It's full of that wondeful fire and laser effects, cels back-lit with bright light making warfare bright and bold in a way that is exceptionally difficult to near impossible to recreate digitally. That's human work, hundreds of hands working thousands of hours to bring this absurd space opera to life.
An eldritch monstrosity challenges the galaxy, filled with warping tile and molten chrome but somehow needing stairs and control panels, implying a past it's long since abandoned. Challenged only by a rag tag group of allies drilling through the monsters eye in an almost organic spiraling parasite ship before destroying it from the inside with energised will and determination then blasting themselves to freedom out the second eye!
Leaving us on a note hope panning out from a world in need of aid we see the monsters head locked in orbit as a new moon to this struggling world.
So few things can bounce between horrible cruelties, characters falling dead from gunshots, others melted on screen in acid before landing in a small Weird Al music video as dinosaur robots make allusions to Of Mice and Men and hold that all together in any shape or form.
Demands from HQ rarely make for good films but the cruelty in the boardroom allowed for genuine pathos as characters are killed, changed and introduced to make way for new those toys but plotted to make it resonate rather than just a change of the guard.
It's not the best movie in the world, far from it, but it emerged in a wondeful niche that no other movie has had the chance to explore and that gives it more character than most will ever express."

I really enjoyed Dang!. At first I thought the characters looked like a default Picrew avatars and they still kinda do but the cast flesh out to the point where it doesn't really matter after a couple episodes. Hope this gets a second season, it deserves several.

Finished an actual "book book" for the first time in forever, not a graphic novel or manga. Really enjoyed myself. It's certainly not a hard read, I just have a poor attention span.The two sequel novels are on their way and if I finish those I might get Titan, the new prequel.

I did like the blonde bits in my hair but after Pride and seeing all the lovelies I wanted some colour in my hair. It's not perfect but it's only temporary dye and I've more than enough to try again at a later date.

Meal prepped for the first time in ages, well aside from the overnight oats. It's just a super simple pasta, I subbed in some close to date tofu rather than using mince and swapped in a jar of pasta sauce instead of canned tomatoes. Keeps me fed for cheap and is a little off my mind for a bit.

Interesting Asian food store find. I like them, nice and hearty, but might not get them again though because they're twice the cost of the equivalent weight in regular mushrooms. Simple dinner of these, seasoned rice, sweetcorn and kidney beans.

I've been doing a whole gold stars on a calendar thing for about a month now. I get a star if I go to the gym, get ten thousand steps in or do something genuinely beneficial like helping a friend or meeting an important goal. June hasn't been great, depression and such, but July will be better.

Depression slept yesterday so I was awake very early today. Took that opportunity to go to the pool as soon as it opened at 6:30am, did 35-ish minutes of laps. Feeling better, still very down but not as much as I have been.

Daisy and I are watching the '98 Lost In Space movie and yeah, it's a bit rubbish. I still love Robot's design though, this version, the sixties version, the modern version, they're all good. Really wish I still had childhood toy of him, Dad has a great toy of the original design.

Had to take my acrylic nails off as they'd started lifting from the nail bed. Really messed my stuff up, pinky especially.

My hand, acrylic nails removed. Very scuffed nail beds and little acrylic bits.

Nails, cleaned up as best I can. Pinky nail was too thin and broke across the nail bed.
Moisturiser is helping a lot.

New diet, day one down. Calories could be a little lower, had some roasted edamame in the night and those were four hundred calories. Orlistat will also take the calories down a bit because I won't be absorbing all that fat. Also left the flat for a walk, tomorrow I'm going swimming.

Watching Enemy Mine with my housemate and really enjoying it. It's cruder than I remember but it's proper 50's speculative sci-fi novel, thinly veiled metaphor stuff and I've a lot of time for that. This and Ghost were my Mum's go to movies whilst doing housework, she has great taste.

This is silly. I did an order with a vegan wholesale website and they sent me three of the items via Amazon. 🤦‍♂️ I try really hard to avoid using Amazon. Those two big boxes? They each contain one bottle of cheap tomato passata I put on the end of the order to meet the shipping threshold.
