Currently wondering if I should slap another layer onto this artwork for the next Mail-Out. It started off as a black-and-white painting, but the shading on the body wasn't strong enough to get picked out when I ran it through the Riso. Maybe some collaged text?...

I *finally* deposited my archive of interviews with size folks at the Bishopsgate Institute last week, and I couldn't be more freaking elated about it. What that also means is I'm finally able to start making art interpreting the experiences, fantasies, and identities I've documented. So... 3/🧵

I was marching with the Trans+ Virtual Centre of Excellence this year, an all-trans researcher collective whose annual conference I'd attended at Birkbeck (one of the University of London colleges) the day before. I don't know if the crowd surpassed last year's, but it must've been close! 2/

As I come to the end of prepping my interview recordings for archiving, I've been reflecting a lot on the last two and a half years of exploring the size community, as a researcher and as a queer giantess who has found her pride. I posted this to Instagram a few weeks ago and meant every word of it.

On November 3rd, 2023, my life changed for good. I took a Zoom call with a polyamorous giant trans woman with a sadistic streak, and an omnisexual cis woman size-shifter who used her erotic fantasies to process her lived experiences of trauma and a rare neurological condition. I realised I had stumbled across experiences that had never been researched or documented before. But most importantly, I found a community of people *like me*.

I found my people. I found people I would travel halfway round the world for without even thinking about it. I found myself a Shrinking Doll for a sapphic sexual/romantic partner and a Silly Lil' Bug for a best friend.

I discovered a world of unashamed and unabashed creativity. I learnt how to overcome my shame, how to embrace my identity as a giant woman who found being a giant woman empowering, gender-euphoric, and sexy as hell, and do both those things with a queer and divergent sense of pride. I realised there are a *hell* of a lot of people out there who find me insatiably sexy. And I discovered there are even more people who love and care about me for me.

I don't know if anyone else outside of the size community is going to care that I did all this. But I want everyone to know that I have found the closest thing to found family I have ever managed to find through becoming part of this community. And I have collected our stories as a labour of love.

The book will contain all five of @bug-in-a-cage.bsky.social's essays to date (including 'Size Pornotopias'), plus a small comedy skit titled 'I Think You Should Shrink' that they wrote in 2023, if my memory serves correctly. You wanna see the draft back cover too? Of course you do!
