I'm going through every MGS artbook trying to understand the style. Basically copying every cool thing I see. Face proportions fuck me up and I feel like I won't get it until my head just naturally starts correctly guessing how it should look. Only original sketch is the VI one

Ended up making a couple more doodles of him. Could try and make him into a Forever Winter OC Scavenger (My first OC :] ) Wrote up a bit of lore for him in the alt text. I'm loving the Forever Winter <:)

As a Corpse Barer, this scav retrieves corpses from the battlefield for a living, returning the remains for a price. He carries a coffin (half size since most corpses are maimed during battle) and avoids fighting when possible.

Due to the weight of the coffin he's slow but tanky even if he's not made to fight. He stashes weapons inside the coffin so that, when push comes to shove, he can hunker down and either escape or have a nice final stand.

This one used ot be a part of a corpse retrieval unit until he realised not all of them were returned to their families and instead were used as fuel for the warmachines of whoever paid more.

He doesn't have a name (yet) but I might actually stick with this one <:)
