My hot, possibly wrong take is that if everyone watched more reality tv we'd have better conflict resolution skills. It's important to be able to get through a conflict maintaining respect and not letting it completely overtake you emotionally.

This does mean you have to be prepared with wipes, disposal bags, something to change into, and ideally you'd be away from people, etc etc etc. It's your duty (ha, duty) to minimize the effect on others. I don't view it as some breech of consent, but I think it's a bit rude to linger around.

I had an experience years ago where someone encouraged me to mess, but then couldn't handle it once it actually happened and made me feel bad. Being called annoying or made to feel like an inconvenience is a big trigger for me, so now I want to be extra sure I'm safe before I go ahead.
