Trump has officially revoked executive order 14115. Amana, an Israeli real estate group which promotes settlement growth and dispossession of Palestinians, is no longer sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury.

In shuttering the Al Jazeera office, the PA has dealt a significant blow to human rights and against any attempt to possibly transform the PA into a viable governing entity that can materialize Palestinian national interests. They are no doubts subcontractors of the Israeli occupation.

Saeb Erekat was the last functioning piece of the PLO. His diplomatic prowess and ability to articulate the Palestinian struggle to a variety of audiences is sorely missed. The PLO in its current form does not have anyone who can even compare to Saeb.

The Palestinian economy is in dire straits. We have no economic sovereignty and rely solely upon what Israel allows. Palestinian leadership has no way of maneuvering around the constraints of the Israeli occupation. I fear this may push the occupied West Bank over the edge.

There’s a reason why Netanyahu wants to neuter the Israeli Supreme Court. There are instances in which the court rules against the settlers and allows Palestinians to remain on their lands. But by reshaping the courts makeup, Israel can ensure the courts rule against Palestinians in every case.

This has been basic American policy for the last 4 years under Biden. U.S. currently recognizes Israeli sovereignty over the illegally occupied Golan Heights and East Jerusalem while also recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In June, CBS reported 61% of Americans supported an arms embargo on Israel. Pew Research stated most young Republicans under 30 no longer believe in U.S. military support to Israel. Americans are tired of endless wars and want a foreign policy suited toward American interests and peace.

America should not subsidizing Israel's illegal occupation of the West Bank. Beyond ending military assistance to Israel, lawmakers must strip U.S non-profits that fund illegal settlement activity in the West Bank of their tax exempt status and force them to shutter, effective immediately.
