A reimagining of the life lived by the powerful witch Sycorax before her banishment to the island in William Shakespeare's The Tempest. With fantastic disability representation. 📚💙 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 / 5 #booksky #sycorax #shakrspeare #disabilityrep app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/6bfa...

I felt the same way, I actually think the story would work better without the romance. It's a shame because the concept is fascinating 😕

I don't blame you... I've considered DNFing a few times I think my love for Bloodsworn and knowing I love his later work is carrying me through this 😭

Abbys⚔️Book World 📚🐉 @abbysbookworld.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

I adore the Bloodsworn Saga so I was so excited for Malice but I'm struggling 😭 I knew it would be slow but no one said it would be boring. Slow and boring are not the same thing!!! 📚💙 #booksky #fantasybooks #epicfantasy

I'm a character driven reader too. I didn't find it slow I found it undeveloped and rushed

Abbys⚔️Book World 📚🐉 @abbysbookworld.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Personally I found this book really fast paced to the point I actually think it needs to slow down a little so the characters and relationships can actually be developed.

Abbys⚔️Book World 📚🐉 @abbysbookworld.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Oh no!! I can imagine the attraction as it's a story of revenge but the book itself doesn't read right wing. While the revenge is personal this seems to also be subtly criticising the power structures of that time.

Same!! It's such gross behaviour, when we authors learn that reviews are not for them 😭😭

010

Abbys⚔️Book World 📚🐉 @abbysbookworld.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

I'm just finding out that he also takes negative reviews of his books and quotes them into future books while naming the reviewers handle 🥴
