Great pod as always Gareth. I became a spurs fan in 82. But I had little recollection of The General as a 7 year old. Nor Pleat in 87. After Italia 90 I became obsessed with footie and gravitated back to Spurs. Mabbs was my skipper. Links & Gazza the stars. Terry was my first gaffer 🤍

Listening to this now. Memories flooding back. And I loved Andy Turner. Mainly because he’s born two months after me and I still recall keeping an eye out for a player who was my age- tearing it up in 1992/93. I think his squad number next season (17) was one of my “lucky” numbers too

Lovely stuff. And heartwarming at the end. We never stop looking after our kids. My youngest with severe ASD has ARFID- only eats goodfellas marguerita pizzas. The Gastroenterology team weren’t prepared to get involved unless his wt dropped critically. So must’ve been tough for Gerry & son
